Just wanted to add, that as someone of dual nationality. Fofana (born in France) would have with his background. It can be tough to have a sense of belonging. Not having a strong connection to your parents/grandparents home country (even though you love that nation) and not feeling connected to your birth place when your questioned / doubted to be “French” in this case even though that’s all Wesley knows. It can leave you in a grey area / emptiness. I have that with England / Jamaica often. Those who feel super attached to a nation or there’s less confusion probably don’t get it. But it’s another factor to consider why somebody would be offended/ hurt.
Argentina is a made up un original entity itself
Chelsea has worked hard on clearly itself from the racist club tag but Enzo comes along and dashed that in the bin.
I am finding it hard to find what part of the chant is racist. I more surprised to find out Mbappe dated a transgender. I support 100% freedom of speech they should be able to say this and whatever else they like. As should the French team.
Argentinian society is rife with racism, homophobia, etc. Let's not forgot this is a country who, with open arms, welcomed and sheltered Nazi's fleeing Germany after WW2. Not surprising that an average, uneducated Argentinian such as Enzo is a racist piece of shit. This is also why he's a perfect fit for Chelsea.

Argentina has shown clearly it does not care. They are racist and proud of it is their message. Look at their behaviour since this racist incident.
Not many are playing for what some may consider to be the proper team these days. Would have to watch the old world cups in black and white footage. It is what it is. Sure it would be fun if the countries had true representations of the culture but that boat sailed many many moons ago.
Something very wrong with the Argentine mentality and culture. Few weeks ago the Bentacur comment on Son and South Korean people. Now this. They need to take a long hard look at themselves.
If only we all can agree that this incident is irreversible, and the aggrieved needs to reconcile with their colleague and move on, the better peace prevail, this is not the end of life, I would be happy if we can put in this same energy to tell the same countries to stop exploiting and imposing their policies in Africa, they created the system of racism, now they want to chop off one person for a video chant.
Why are we asking someone who was disrespected in the public eye to respond in public. Why are backing the problem this easy…we still got a long ways to go

Im from Sub-Saharan Africa. That chant wasn't racist but it's banter. However, it's unnecessary and unwarranted banter because Argentina did not play France recently or in the Copa America. They messed up by posting it online as well!
