Following England getting to a final at Euro 2024 but narrowly losing to Spain many football fans on X or Twitter have held Jude Bellingham to account for some of his lacklustre performances.

But the former Birmingham City, Borussia Dortmund and now Real Madrid star had already won a Champions League and La Liga title last season and is a favourite to lift the Ballon d’Or.

These signs are all too familiar to us Tottenham Hotspur fans who saw the same happen to our former star Dele Alli – who used to link up so well with the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Christian Eriksen under Mauricio Pochettino.

But it was under Jose Mourinho where Dele Alli’s time at Spurs came to an end and he is currently at Everton after a spell in Turkey with Beşiktaş J.K. (Besiktas)

But when both stars were 21-years-old which Bellingham is now – Alli was putting up better numbers and was ahead of the curve compared to other English Premier League talent like David Beckham, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard – but after telling his story to Gary Neville on the Overlap and on MNF on Sky Sports, Dele Alli revealed the struggles he had been through.
