  1. How about if Guiu turns out to be better than those names for striker position. The Spanish young 16 yo is a lesson for clubs like Chelsea to learn from…..give young top players play time to showcase their skills.

  2. Dani Olmo, 5'9 second striker, attacking midfielder, non-winger, non-striker attacker guy who basically competes with KDH and Chukwuemeka and Nkunku and Cole Palmer and Kellyman and Paez and Estevao, and how many people to play that number ten do we actually need? Enough is enough.

And Francesco Conceicao… Same problem. Looks pretty exciting, looks like good technique, good balance, good passing game, but… How many players do we need?

And then there's Omorodion. I really don't want that guy. Sure, he's a big tanky guy, he's got a fair bit of potential, but he's a big bruiser in his early twenties, learning his game. Why sell Broja, sell Gallagher at a discount, and then buy a Spanish Broja that isn't integrated in any way? What is the point? Players develop with game time but we can only play 11 of them at a time.

Lastly Rio, as much as I hate his choice, I find it understandable. We're selling academy to fund our buying spree. Gallagher is about toast, not because he's bad but because he's profitable to sell. Chalobah is about toast despite possibly being the best defender at present, simply because he's profitable to sell. Meanwhile, what academy kid are we giving any chance this season? What academy kid are we giving any chance next season? We have a current first team squad of 40+ players, and we're still looking to buy even more.

Frankly, the top youths would be crazy to not look for a way out around 16-17, look for a team that actually wants to bet on them and nurture them instead of treating them like a moneybag on legs. I don't like saying that but it's the truth. That's one of the major downsides of the "buy everyone" approach that the management is pursuing. The role as depth player shouldn't be given to some washed out seniors or some mediocre not-quite-it kind of player in their mid twenties.

  3. It would be so funny if Guiu goes on loan after all that hype and media lol Chelsea would be joke not saying hes first team ready but stop promising stuff if we not gonna go thru with it

  4. I understand your admiration for the academy and the desire to maintain its elite status. I also want that.

But, sometimes our emotions maybe don’t allow ourselves to research the assumptions we make and state as opinion when trying to cope with a change of process within our club. I myself am still on the fence. But, I might argue that you look into the details about academy players across the league and their minutes per club.

What Rio’s team clearly saw was competition in the Chelsea pipeline and less so in the LP pipeline. If you’re a young player that thinks of yourself as being special, shying away from competition is not the way to cement my opinion on that claim. Good luck to the young man and his family.

Yes, we have players just a year or so older who are now playing senior football and already showing massive potential at that level. I’m not going to chastise the club for that.

  5. I fully agree with Niinii on Olmo. We need a dribbler that can draw defenders away from their positions, especially with teams that defend deep in their own half.

  6. Please chelsea buy everything, it's a shame we are not satisfy with what we hv, we don't need any attacking player again if not a proper number nine with gd profile, we are blessed with wingers, trust de process

  7. olmo here are some concrete ideas, it is better to have this player than to see him among the rivals of the big four, we do not have this quality of player in our squad, we need the best if we want to become Chelsea again, my concern is mine is not about buying a lot, well no, but rather buying nothing but the good players, the best to come, let's not forget that the board must do its business too, let's stop looking for average players but rather the super talents, that's what makes Man City strong, there are only the confirmed ones, the best, either you're good or not

  8. That is the risk when we sign estavaeo and paez. I will be gutted if rio nguhoma turns out better than the two. Our board only see our academy as pure profit

  9. Colwill, Reece James, Trevor, Gilchrist, Conor Gallagher, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Tomori… we don't give our top academy players opportunities 😂 🤣 we back with propaganda SMH

  10. I'm really really sad about Rio Nguhoma. I was enthusiastically invested in him. I go and watch as much academy football as I can and I was hyped about getting to see this kid grow up as a CHELSEA footballer. Now I have to watch him become the next Ryan Brewster.

  11. lets just disband the cfc youth academy and start a syndicate of buying and loaning out kids, the academy players will never be promoted to 1st team if cfc keeps buying 18yo stars from other teams youth academies

  12. We lost him but we have a man in our academy No one is talking about that ppl will start taking notice of him in two or three season from now.. is name is Dujan '"whisper'" Richards

  13. Conceicao couldn't do it at Ajax, keep him away and don't waste your talents like hutchinson, nguhoma. Olmo and Nico Williams, diogo costa are the level of players we need

  14. Does niinii know andrey santos came out in an interview and said it was his decision to go out on loan,Chelsea wanted him to stay its out there do your research dude.If guiu picked us over barca I'll bet he was told he was gonna get game time and pre season its his chance to show he belongs hence all the news coming out saying we'll see how things pan out but we're not getting a striker now

  15. We are loosing these kids today but I'm confident that with the new structure the path will be there for future. It's unfortunate of course but there is a lot happening at once at the club and it will take time for everything to fall into place
