Reaction from Ronald Koeman and Stefan de Vrij at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday after the Netherlands side fought back from a goal down to beat Turkey 2-1 and set up a semi-final showdown with England at Euro 2024.
Samet Akaydin had headed Turkey – who were without suspended Merih Demiral – into a deserved first-half lead and for a long period it seemed that might see them to victory.
They also hit the woodwork from an Arda Guler free kick.
Koeman responded to a poor first half display by introducing Wout Weghorst and the Dutch improved markedly after the break.
With 20 minutes left, Stefan de Vrij equalised with another header and six minutes later Mert Muldur bundled the ball into his own net under pressure from Cody Gakpo.
That gave the Dutch the lead for the first time in the match and they held on for a dramatic victory.
The Netherlands will take on England for a place in the final in Dortmund on Wednesday after Gareth Southgate’s men came through a nail-biting penalty shoot-out to put out Switzerland earlier in the day.
Spain face France in the first of the semi-finals in Munich on Tuesday.
