I agree Conor when the stock is high sell, especially when you know they are streaky players. We kept Harrison thinking he might help keep us up. but we do need to take advantage of players when on form and getting max money in for them. look at Brighton sold Cucurella and Caiceido for crazy money because there was hype around them. now I don't think any team buys them for even half of what chelsea paid.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Thing is we were in a relegation battle and though yes we would’ve got a good fee for JH at the time, it was felt that his contribution to us in that battle outweighed the instant gratification.
Had we stayed up, then the rewards for survival would have far outweighed the fee for JH.
It’s an easy call to say sell players when their stock is high but do that with every player and soon you have no side. Bringing in replacements isn’t an exact science and the short term damage could see a downward spiral and everyone who’s played the game knows if you get in a losing rut, even if every other facet of your game is good breaking out of that rut an be impossible.

Hola Conor, the MR sale to Real Betis fee is pathetic imo, Real Betis has already made outgoing sales of players to the value of €16m and the transfer window is open for many more weeks but they are obviously pleading poverty (as European teams do) and the club has folded like a deck of cards. Joseph needs more minutes to showcase his ability to replace Bamford. 2 games in one season doesn't cut it for me, scoring a hatrick in a friendly, means nothing, look at Rodrigo, scored a hatrick against Cagliari, he didnt continue that into the season and he's a international Striker/Winger. 2 goals against Chelsea, were clinical, but how many league goals did he get last season, was it 1. OK he might not have gained an amazing amount of minutes off the bench, but star strikers make the best of their opportunities, I remember Nketiah having 10-20mins under Bielsa most games, he scored from many of those opportunities… Joseph needs to show more, he needs to show he can put in a run of games without getting injured and he needs to be banging in the goals when the opportunity arises or he'll never be the man to replace Bamford.

More too little too late with some of these transfers. Sargent would've been a great addition the past 2 seasons. Bamford out of form and Rutter clearly not a striker. Now with Piroe and Joseph coming into form, doesn't make sense to bring him in if they're staying (as strikers). I think Sargent's ceiling is higher than most expect though

Think due to sarge having signed a new long term contract think we would demand atleast 10mil. He's extremely important for us and after his return this season we would have to get profit on the 8milllion
