Shame he has had to go but PSR is killing the home grown talent but we move on as a club £40M for a player who had a good season and yes the potential is there but we have to think smart and I think it’s good business with Rodon coming also 👏🏾👏🏾 as true Leeds fans we shouldn’t complain.
The "football is a business" point of view may be factually true, but I don't watch football for business management skills, I watch for the heart in your mouth, amazing skills, and the progression narrative. Losing this young man who probably harbors the same dream for Leeds is hard, no matter if it was 80 million. What is the point of it all really if you sell players like him?
A massive head v heart moment. It is an absolute dagger right where it hurts. But it is absolutely the right thing. I'd love Archie to stay, but lets be honest. Rodon on a permanent is a better impact player for us than Gray, who had some good games, but cost us in others – it's not his fault, he's still only a child, but it's the truth.
I would expect in going to Spurs he will be sent back on loan almost immediately. If Leeds win back promotion and the P&S situation eases, buying back Archie must be on the cards if his career, predictably, stalls at Tottenham. Let's be honest there is no way he is good enough to be getting Spurs to a Premier League top 4 finish. Leeds must be ready to pounce and get him back.
Regardless, this one is going to hurt.

Looks like Archie had a release clause in his new contract if we didn’t get promoted… so I think we really need to stop with this sentiment FC. It’s looking more and more likely that the kid wanted out.
I’m not a big social media person but I found it weird that Archie didn’t even make a comment or post after the final – even Cree did and he’s been linked with a move away for ages. Something tells me Archie is a very happy boy right now.

Archie Gray is now way worth £40m. It’s a great deal for Leeds. Not proven in the PL and anyone paying that needs their heads read. Even in these inflated markets this crazy money.

It'd be nice for Rodon to come, but would that eagerness be because of Amps/Gray and James? BUTTTT Revie would have played Joseph a hell of a lot more! Also, football has changed so much compared to Revie's time. I'm hoping 49ers and RB are in for a reasonable time, and they won't want to break the club….profits are a very important factor. I'm NOT happy with the sale, but it does make sense.
