  1. Southgate simply doesn’t understand creative, attacking football. It won’t change during this tournament. It’s like asking sean dyche, a park-the-bus specialist, to play attacking and free flowing football. It simply won’t happen.

  2. How can a below average defender who played for below average clubs be expected to produce front foot football and win England a trophy.

He is a bland bog standard defender at his core. He’s an FA yes man who gets on with the players so he’s in the job.

Let’s not forget he’s the highest paid Manager at this tournament and isn’t capable of changing a system during a match.

    Scary stuff.

  3. 1986 is the first international comp I remember. Mexico. I had the panini sticker book and collected all the stickers. I remember the Hand of God moment. I remember Italia 90. Nessum Dorma. I cried when we left the competition on penalties; Garza, Linekar, etc. I remember ‘94. USA. We hadn’t qualified but i remember McDonalds had a “hat trick burger”. France 98; Beckham red card. Huddle…. My child hood years are full of memories around England in international camps. They brought the country together. I felt pride and excitement throughout the tournament.

Southgate is sucking all of the life and enjoyment out of watching England. It’s so dire. Get him out

  4. Well, if all Jim can talk about is a bit of a sunny day as if it's the best day of his life, I can only imagine how depressing it must be year-round in England lol.

  5. I have a weird thought that Southgate is going to do the following – With Foden going back to the UK, I think Southgate will use that as an excuse to drop him on Sunday, by saying he is tired and has not trained – Then England play the very mediocre team and WIN and Southgate will then use that as a reason for keeping a winning team – Southgate has never known how to deal with the Foden / Bellingham situation and this situation is going to play right into his hands BUT I hope I am wrong as Foden should be in that team

  6. Apart from Guehi, who was doubted, , can anyone escape being dropped ?
The pleading for support, and unfair criticism, suggests a petulant attitude that needs curbing. If Southgate did anything correctly it was galvanising the players and supporters when he was first appointed. It's now going backwards fast, bad squad selection, unfathomable tactics, massive amount of luck keeping him in tournament.

  7. Talken Sporten. Jesus wept I wasn't ready for that. Can you say "Gott in Himmel" next time, "Donner und Blitzen" maybe. When we get knocked out Jim can enjoy himself with "For you Englander, the Euro's are over"!

  8. Southgate has had the same players for three games in a row, yet when he sends subs on, too late as usual, they invariably bring a bit of life to a dreary match. He's ignored a whole bunch of players up to now, so for heaven's sake lets see the likes of Palmer, Watkins, Toney, Eze, Gordon, Gomez, Warton, Mainoo, Konza, as well as a few others, in the starting line-ups in the next few matches. They can't be any worse than the ones we've already seen.

  9. That is the British game playing backwards, even Trent Alexander will b no-good 2 Liverpool in the coming 2024 -2025 season withe the Southgate backwards passes. WALKER is a continuation off backwards play that he don't even see players running into good positions upfront into scoring positions

  10. How on earth can you not count knocking germany out. It sounds ridiculous. Your massaging your own narrative to match your statement. And as if italy and holland are pushovers. Again creating a false narrative of an easy draw that it should be plain sailing. The truth is the gap between historic big teams and what we deem lesser teams has significantly closed. There are no easy games.

  11. The arrogance is just staggering. Dismissing the Dutch and Italian team who have achieved more than England and still they lack sufficient respect and think they can just walk over them. These guys will never learn.

  12. These clowns will get knocked out by Slovakia. England haven't won anything in 60 years and yet they are favorites in every tournament they play. English media is delusional. Just be happy you qualified for any tournament.

  13. To say we have not found a replacement for a mediocre run of the mill player like Philips is a sackable offence in itself, Southgate
thrives on mediocrity and instill's it, even in the few better players we have

  14. Prediction for the Slovakia game. Declan Rice, him the ultimate DONKEY (along the lines of Jordan Henderson), lest we forget, to break his duck off the bench with a diving header from the halfway line set up by Bukayoko. Can you see it happening on Sunday, Simon?

  15. We in the Netherlands are very happy to be on the English side of the bracket. We consideres it luck to be drawn againt England so these guys really need to start seeing reality England is not scaring anybody.
