Never far from Newcastle related news, James Maddison is back, but now it seems Leicester have put a price on their star player.

Is it a reasonable fee? Could Newcastle be about to sign Maddison in January?

  1. I can't see Leicester letting Maddison go for less than £60 million – it would have been higher had he played at the World Cup. There are rumours Leicester could take Dubravka as part of the deal.

  2. Sorry but where could England have gone with a thinker as coach, criminal Madds, Wilson, Pope etc. should have played, they are the form guys, instead we get Southgate sweeties.

  3. He's not a differentiator, just look at Leicester's fate in the depths of degradation, if he's great Leicester is in the top 6 at least, look at Almiron and Wilson, being able to bring Newcastle United to the top 3, looking for players who are sure, what level can bring the club, don't have too many hallucinations ..buy Goncalo Ramos or Marcus Rashford is better..

  4. Apparently, Leicester need £60M by the 1st of Feb to keep them within FFP rules – otherwise they'll get penalized. Maddison to Newcastle is already a foregone conclusion – likely that he wont play in the tie against us (they can't afford for him to get injured / fail a medical prior to the sale).

  5. Maddison & Pulisic are our two key targets – and you're right with regards to ASM. He'll be away in the summer, unless a deal similar to the value of one of our incomings could do it sooner.
