A major development has put the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on high alert. Hervé Renard, coach of the French women’s national team, has announced his departure after the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Reports from Africa Soccer suggest that the NFF is pursuing the former Saudi Arabia boss for the Super Eagles coaching role, aiming for a 2026 World Cup ticket.
Top NFF officials are excited about Renard’s candidacy, given his impressive track record in African football, including leading Zambia and Ivory Coast to Africa Cup of Nations victories. Currently, Renard is set to leave his position with ‘The Blues’ after the Paris Olympics, making him available for a new role.
With the Super Eagles coaching position vacant following Finidi George’s resignation, Renard’s availability presents a golden opportunity. His experience and success in African football make him the ideal fit to lead Nigeria back to greatness.

Get pseiro ,he has worked for the team
It will be good if NFF chooses Hervé Renard as the head coach of the team. Nigeria's team will do better. As I am a beninese, I think of it but my fear is if NFF has the financial means. Moreover, I beg NFF to do everything to make Michael Olise play for Nigeria's team. This player can do more than some players in the group. I am from Benin Republic and I will always support Nigeria's team.
