He might not be the most technically gifted player but he's a leader and a workhorse. Yes he's not brilliant but he would of given us the balance in the midfield and the leadership we need
I don't think Henderson should be in the squad for this Euro's but he was a great servant for England.
He was one of the few leaders.
We clearly miss henderson, maguire, shaw, sterling, rashford, phillips and grealish… we were more dangerous

I'm seeing people say England are lacking Captain Material. In that team we have 3-5 recognised captains I can think of the top of my head, out of them 1 is very young but is also a world class player, 1 is making his first international comp debut and the other 3 are recognised senior internationals. But it's certainly true that nobody is taking charge.. Kane is the named captain but he looks so far odd it currently. Somebody needs to grab the team and Lead be a core voice… Too many leaders but no true Leader.
James Ward Prowse is sat at home… Leaving Henderson out was the right call, not replacing him with another experienced holding midfielder who can organise and move the ball wasn't!
I hate to admit it but Italy don't operate the same without Jorginho and we don't have a like for like replacement that isn't suspended for a betting scandal 😂 so we stick with what we've got!

The way Henderson commands the team to press is being severely missed. Him and bobby firmino were the foundation for Liverpools heavy metal football. the man is THE student of Gerrard, despite not having the same ability he has the same head.
Feel like if Southgate left one of the lads who arent gonna play many minutes like mainoo or Wharton and brought Henderson instead the team would have much better balance.

He would be perfect for United as he knows the league, is a winner, knows the club, won the league, the cups and the big ol' ears too… most of all, he looks good in red – having turned out for Sunderland, Liverpool and Ajax (another reason why he should join as Ten Hag knows him from Holland).
