In today’s Chelsea News Video,

Chelsea have been rumoured to be linked with loads of players throughout this January transfer window, but the player who I probably would love most (as a semi realistic signing) would be Dries Mertens. Now Di Marzio has reported that Chelsea and Napoli are negotiating a deal for the Belgian forward who only has 6 months left on his contract, and I’d love the deal in principle, but there are other journalists reporting it wont happen.

The future is bright for CFC.

  1. Gianluca Di Marzio reported there are talks between Chelsea and Napoli. Alfredo Pedullà has reported it wont happen. But I wanted to make this video anyway to express my opinion on the link.

  2. Isn't it obvious that we won't sign anyone this season? all these links but no concrete offer to report. from dembele to piatek to now martens when will this merry go round end please

  3. Ur using data from 2 seasons ago to judge if we should sign an out of form striker… because his current stats are no great , 4 goals in 16 serie A games 🤦‍♂️ i hope if he signs he actually works out but a 32 i have doubts

  4. Chelsea is basically all teenage high school kids they wait until the last minute to do the work and come up with the most non sense response. How old is he anyways like 33 or something.

  5. Love Mertens, I think he could mentor not only Tammy but Mount, CHO and Pulasic due to his versatility, as well as offering us goals and experience. Seems like a perfect signing to me.

  6. Mertens is a WAAAAAAAAY better signing than Cavani would've been, probably better than Dembele, IMO. In terms of last-minute desperate Chelsea buys, I really think this'd be one of our best.

  7. Always thought he was a decent player, never really thought of him at the bridge, but £¥@% it, you're…boyish fanboy enthusiasm has won me over! I'm psyched now too! Goals and line breaking is something we need and he does bring those, so yea. I'll get on board!

  8. He’s absolutely perfect.I agree with all the points you brought up but also another point is how imo he’s the solution to our “low block”issue. He is tremendous long range shooter from what I’ve seen and that could help us a lot

  9. Great player no doubt but surely this is a bit of a kick in the teeth for Willian, wants a new contract but as normal we are pussyfooting about with our stupid over 30 rule and then go and buy a 32 year old albeit we need him for so many positions and experience and probably given 18 month contract just give Willian 2 years. Be gutted to see him leave.

  10. Is it only me or anyone notice none of our wingers nor striker makes run in behind defenders. None of these kids will take us to glory. Tammy isn't a teenager anymore yet still plays like one. I want an aggressive striker to replace him not someone who just jog around and wait for the ball to come to his feet.
