Mccoist is Scottish.. what the hell does he care if England win !?
Giroud was immense? He was awful up until the goal. Ally shut up.
Hindsight 20/20
er because Harry Kane is a striker π€ͺ
I reckon Southgate should've put his Euro96 grey shirt on and took the 2nd.
Kane kick that ball all the way back to white hart laneπππ
No black players was racially abuse after that penalty miss from Kane….
Like a dominant boxer and world champion, France scored every time they needed to or wanted at will. All England could manage was 2 penalties of which the second was a lucky unnecessary gift. Yes we scored 14 goals, but that was because of the team selected by Southgate as his favoured scoring 6 goals in one game before being pressured by the media to change it because they drew against the USA which was ridiculous. The best England team of this tournament by far was the one which Southgate chose as his best and played in the first game of this tournament and beat a reasonable Iran team 6-2. That team was unbeaten and got us by far the best result and performance of the tournament, but then you pundits and the media all demanded Southgate should change it and replace a player who has always been England's most proven reliable goal scorer and who was involved in 3 of the first 4 goals of that Iran game and this was the result. The England attack was toothless because England has only 2 proven reliable scorers against big teams in high pressure games, Kane and Sterling, and you clever id*t all demanded and pressured the manager to replace one of his only 2 reliable scorers and your great idea failed. To make things worse you demanded he replace not just the most reliable of England's only 2 proven goal scorers, but the most reliable in these kind of games as we saw in the Euros. I knew this was going to happen because anybody with half a brain could look at the historical facts on the table and work it out, but you still insisted and after this disaster are still insisting. The idea you now put forward that Graelish could have solved a problem Foden who is a far superior player could not solve is taking the joke too far. Please stop this silly and immature commentary, it's like listening to children. Man up and admit you were wrong and let's have a serious debate now we have seen all our ideas in action and what works and what does not. Southgate's original plans got us to a Euro final and world cup semi-final. The plan you demand he follow and finally pressured him enough to buckle and try that could not get us further than the quarter finals failed against the first decent team they played. It's time you stop it and let him get on with the job and make the decisions without your undeserved pressure and criticism. If not for your pressure to put forward your illogical demands and replace the most experienced, successful and best paid player we have, who is for a good reason, with players that have proved nothing against strong teams historically and were not suddenly going to be able to do what they could not do before, we would still be in this world cup and heading for the final. Your behaviour since your failed demands were put into the game and proved wrong, has been cowardly. Stand up, be men and admit you were wrong. To now say it was because Graelish did not play, who is the worst and least talented player of Saka, Foden and Sterling is beyond a joke and shows you do not take the England national team seriously. It's pathetic. England without Sterling against strong teams is a proven failed idea. You just have to live with it and stop spreading hate against a player we clearly owe so much. Peace and love
McGuire and Stones should of stopped Giroud
McGuire missed a sitter why not blame him he should of scored
How many Anglo Saxons play for England FC nowadays ???
During the time it took VAR to decide on it Kane managed to let Rooney's record get to him. A good ref doesn't need VAR for everything, especially not something so obvious as the 2nd pen and Kane's foul on the line. Officiating in this game was ridiculous and it's been poor during the entire tournament. VAR has added very little to the game, seems like refs don't even bother making any decisions anymore leaving everything to VAR and the ones they do take tend to be the wrong ones.
I thought the same but let's say the player that would have taken it instead also missed kane would have been getting pelters how can the captain and no.1 penalty taker not take the penalty. A lose lose situation for kane. We take the loss and move on
I cant believe its not butter, but thats besides the point.
He bottled it, just like Waddle Pearce Southgate Ince and Batty before him, move on.
Had Saka put that penalty in orbit like Kane we know what would happen to him. Remember Euros…π€¬π€¬π€¬
Julienne, Kane took the penalty so he could beat Rooneys record and it could be his last World Cup.
Well we've learned our lesson. If this happens in 2026, bring on Toney to take the second one. Simples.
Hit the nail on the head if it was anyone else the critics would have gone mad social media sad sad sad
Look, I wanted to see England out more than anyone…
But no one can't argue with Kane taking the 2nd pen, he banged in the first one… It's a no brainer that he stepped up for the second…
As soon as he was taking the second…..I knew, we was in trouble, despite his record of penalty taking being good…….The initiative was passed to Lloris.
Harry garnered doubts.
Excuse making for a pathetic manager would you be slightly critical ::: says it all about a woke fragile English mindset
Southgate play not to lose, he didn't play to win this game.
Kane might be England's best penalty taker but in a penalty shootout you need 5. They should have thought it through and talked about Kane taking multiple against Lloris. If he had scored he could have been on the hook for 3. It's not a huge ask to spread the burden a bit.
tbh. It's all a distraction. The main issue was how Giroud got between Stones and Maguire to score. He had so much space. Did we really think we could win a world cup with CBs who are not playing for their club? This is the problem Southgate had. He hadn't allowed the team to sufficiently move on from out of form players.
get it up yous
This is so stupid. If Kane is a designated penalty taker, he has to take it. He took the first one and scored. So why wouldn't he take the second one? He he missed the first, then its understandable that he would give it someone else.
Pundits are idiots. They don't know what they talk most of the time.
If world cup was given to a team who virtue signals the most, England would have won it hands down.
Alley don't chat shite – Try and take the ball off Kane – Γ Pickford goalkick would have been perfect pen .
Couldn't risk Rashford of Saka take one. If they misses the English public might have been racist scumbags again.
Thats not the question we should asking. Kaneb is a so called professional football on god knows how much money. It doesnt matter that he took the 2nd penalty. He missed the target by fng miles. I get it if he hits the target and the keeper makes a great save. But a really good pro should not miss the target by 10 yards.
These are the kind of people who believe knowing the past colours to come out on Roulette effects the next colour. All you need to do is work out where to put penalties before the game.
If France take a 1-0 lead the game is by, if it goes 0-0 extra time morroco will win
I wonder if Saka was on the pitch would Southgate of asked him will he take it instead π€
Kane always takes the penalty if he is on the pitch. Anything else is just hindsight.
Agree why kane take second penalty yes is pressure world cup quarterfinals against top Team like France
