  1. lol I always find it hilarious that England claim, expect a win and start planning the celebrations of the entire event before the first ball is even kicked. I am all for the athletic visualise your goals, go in with a positive mindset etc but what I describe above is different and its not the players claiming victory before competition, its the media and fans. It puts monumental pressure on the players and they end up getting scapegoated when it inevitably goes wrong – Take Beckham when he kicked out and got sent off, he got annihilated by the press and England. If someone does a bad job, fine, reprimand them but this all gets magnified because the entire stake is placed on them.
    I am not English, but its definitely a trait I dislike about the overall English mentality… The expectation it is always theirs.
