100 Meters Just Went CRAZY!! || 2024 Kenyan Olympic Trials
in the 2024 Kenyon Olympic trials for track and field we saw many of the greatest athletes in the world getting ready for this year’s Paris Olympic Games we also saw a few key moments that absolutely shocked the world now before we get into these races make sure to check out Kenyon Athletics TV and the Kenyon Athletics tv YouTube channel they have the full races of all of these incredible Olympic trials moments and they’re currently available on their Channel right now so make sure to go watch And subscribe to keep up with future updates there have been many Great Moments in this year’s Kenyon Olympic trials however in the men’s 100 m one athlete absolutely set the track on fire and off we go and set away F Mana just gets off the block it is f mana and with a finishing time of 9.79 seconds and a legal wind of positive 1.5 m/s Ferdinand dominal just became the fast man in the world for 2024 and he is now the only athlete to have run under 9.80 seconds this season this time now takes down the previous World leading Mark set by oblique Seville from Jamaica who ran a time of 9.82 seconds in this year’s Racers Grand Prix in Jamaica but a 9.79 is absolutely moving and it’s a performance that would Place him as one of only 11 athletes to ever break 9.80 on the men’s side and I say would would Place him because he’s already run a time under 9.8 as he actually ran a 9.77 time back in 2021 honestly this performance was quite a big wakeup call to anyone who thought omala wasn’t going to be making a strong showing in this year’s Olympics and it actually makes sense that he ran this time now because if we go back a few weeks ago to the Atlanta City Games I actually had the opportunity to talk with omala about his 2024 season and he said this about the 100 meter dash you’re coming into this year you’ve mentioned you’re taking a slightly different approach executing more patience and you’re taking each race a little slower looking to peek in Paris hopefully you know where are you right now in your transition from your opening race in Kip Kano to the next few races moving into Paris yeah you know the previous Seasons we’ve been picking up um so early and by now it could be having the world lead and then it comes to be broken like in June but this season when I Chang my coach you’re now doing things differently and um I don’t want to pick when it’s not right so we’re just taking it slowly and we’ve reduced our races you know like you said those are a lot of races I’ve been doing a lot of races previously but this year we are having a different approach and just you know approaching the season with less um expectations I must say and I say this season for me is a season of Faith cuz um I’m just approaching each day as it comes and not think about tomorrow and today is not done just like have trust in yourself TR the proes TR the training sessions compared to his previous track seasons omala is most definitely taking his time and easing into every single race and this undoubtedly gives him better chances when it comes to the global finals because he now has all of the momentum on his side if we look back to both 2022 and 2023 he actually started his Seasons red hot Running World leading times of 9.85 and 9.84 seconds before the global championships but then when it came time for the 100 m in the biggest stage of the Season he just wasn’t quite able to find his previous form during the big moment but now he has just achieved a 979 at arguably the perfect time because we are now just one month away from the Olympic Games and omala honestly seems poised to run super quick on the Olympics now it’s one thing to see these numbers on the screen but it’s another to see what it looks like from a graphical standpoint here’s omala 2022 season which includes a decent amount of fluctu ation a few sub 10s But ultimately it just didn’t happen in the world championships in 2023 it’s again a similar story he ran super quick for much of the early season but at the global finals it just wasn’t set to happen but then when we look at this season it is starkly different with less overall running more consistency and of course a huge performance when it mattered the most now one thing that we do need to address here is that this time was achieved at altitude as the stadium in Kenya sits at a a few thousand ft above sea level and more often than not fast times are possible at high elevation but even if you ran this equal effort at sea level he would still be absolutely flying so Ferdinand ninala is clearly reaching good Fitness and he seems ready for the Olympics it is very compelling to see how much oman’s racing has shifted over the past two seasons and right now he’s putting all of his faith into his coach and right now it is paying off in the history of the men’s 100 m no Kenyan male Sprinter has ever medled in the Olympic Games so if omala can run through the rounds and ultimately hit his best form come the finals he certainly has a chance at an Olympic medal and now I would love to hear from all of you what do you think about this performance from omala and what do you think about his unfolding season in 2024 do you think he poised for the Olympics do you think he’s going to make a Podium placement and what times do you think he’ll Run come the Paris games thanks for watching everyone and as always until next time sh

He's more grounded and calm now. Great things come from that.
He landed a few hours to his race at the word championships in 2023. That must have affected his performance
Amazing ,when you think of East African athletics you think of long distance running
Safi sana bwani – bahati njema!
Well, he's definitely on cycle again but i am a big advocate for top athletes being able to take PED's
Omanyala always performs well at home.
Noah Lyles is going to run 9.7 at the USA Olympic Trials this year.
Bro needs to bring this game into the big finals
Wait until the drug test start happening. And, these athletes from countries with poor or nonexistent testing system get busted.
That's now his five fastest times that have been run in Nairobi, Kenya, although to be fair two of those times were 9.85 and he has also run 9.85 at Hayward Field. It would be good to see him running more consistently fast in International meets at lower elevation.
I hope he gets gold medal in Paris
Seville Silver
Tebogo bronze
He always peaks too early in the season ( inexperience ) I can see this year he is trying to peak at the right time well done
"Shocked the world" thats a stretch
I Predict a top 6 photo finish in Paris 100m. Everyone is peaking at the right time….I worry Simbine peaked a bit too early
Total Running Productions is faster making videos than Usain Bolt running
I think he could reach 9.74 if he has noah and oblique next to him
lets see more of your face
Face reveal 😂😂😂
He's throwing the javelin next
Think he will be in the finals but too many better for medals
Wait till you see his times in the steeplechase!
Sadly Kenia and co always have heavy dopign scandals
The men's 100m just got a lot more interesting…
Bogos Time
If Omanyala continues to preserve himself he definitely can win a medal in the Olympics.
Very high speed and high chance for Gold medal in the coming Olympics games.
I’m excited for the Olympics…hopefully he can make a record!
If he will stay focus to execute correctly, he will become the first African 100M Olympic Gold Medal in history, talent and work is there!
9.75 my prediction
African athletes are on the rise!
Wow!
It doesn't matter how good times they get at home in Kenya at high altitude, as long as they get beaten in man-to-man duels where the runners have the same conditions
He does that with no pressure but with pressure he doesn't run as fast
