England are currently the top scorers in this World Cup and Southgate has actually outscored every other English manager in World cups by at least 2:1. Progress has been made, maybe not fast enough for the greedy and reactionary English public. A young German team regularly got to the business end of tournaments between 2006-2014 and eventually won. Have patience, or we could quite easily go back to the limp and depressing performances of the pre-Southgate era.

Gareth is like ole Gunnar solskjaer. Get everybody unified. Get the right chemistry. He’s the nice guy. He brings good vibes but in term of ruthlessness I’m afraid he’s far from it. He’s too soft for those players. I mean yeah we all want to see a feel good factor in a team but would you rather have someone who is nice or someone who’s on the front foot proactive. He’s a top guy but to manage England you need that X factor about you. When people will think about him they will say he’s a good guy but boring football. I’d rather describe him first as a manager who gets the right result when needed and not by saying he’s a great guy but who doesn’t take any risk. Maddison never had a chance to show his creativity.. I mean he wants to be loyal to his favorites players but people wants positive results and not this type of loyalty whose counterproductive. England need new energy. Someone with fresh ideas a new philosophy more clinical more tough someone who’s a bit crazy you know..

Sorry but he refused to change things on the euros final and for me that was unforgivable, against France instead of making the change before the goal he waits until we're down to make the change, baffles the brain bringing Saka off also ? I understand tiredness but your telling me he couldn't finish the rest of the match, bad decisions on subs again, also trying to play out from the back then passing it sideways and backwards ! We need a ruthless tactical manager who can see the game first hand shifting momentum, someone like a pep, hopefully he can manage England someday would like to see how they would have done in this world cup if he was in charge !
Fact is, if Kane was "world class" he wouldn't still be playing for Spurs now would he..think about it if he was, Man City would have snapped him up at any cost, like they do everyone else, he is overrated, he is a good player but nowhere near world class.

The pro Southgate propaganda is tiresome. Who have England beaten at a World Cup under him again? Previous managers would have done just as well with the draws he's had. And as for Iceland, so because England were worse under Hodgson, Southgate is somehow a great manager?
Even the Poch would do better. He's certainly going to put the best players on the pitch and have them playing aggressively and positively to their strengths.
