      France drew with Canada yesterday. Does this now mean that France are no longer the favourites? Portugal lost against Croatia, guessing we need to write them off as well.

      The sensationalism from England losing a friendly game is ridiculous. A few weeks ago it was being said this is the best squad we’ve had and we can win it, now we’re getting compared to Greece winning it in Euro 2004 & Rob Dorsett saying about “we’re lucky that in an expanded tournament 3 teams can get through” our media & fanbase is so reactionary and toxic it’s a joke. Let’s put the pitchforks down and wait to see how we perform against Serbia before spreading all this doom and gloom propaganda.

      It’s the same old story. Great players to pick from but not good enough management. Look at the premier league.. when was it last won by an English manager? Never. Howard Wilkinson for Leeds won the old first division in 1992.
      Apart from Sven and Fabio, we keep getting English managers and they’re not good enough.
      Southgate did ok with Middlesbrough. Would an ok player from Middlesbrough get in the team? With the manager, there’s no rule about who does it. So go foreign again. Fabio was an idiot, we all know that.

      I see Alexander Trent and Kyle Walker crying in the quarter final@Germany😂😂😂. With all respect to his calmness in press conferences, I dont see Garry South Gate motivating the team win this tournament. His body language is not convincing at all. His team selection is also questionable. 2 out Rashford, Madson and Grealish should be in the squad regardless. He saw how Rashford played FA final and thats a player you dont want to miss in such tournaments. Otherwise I wish England the best.

      Without some experienced players it's gonna be hard for EG.
      Ward-Prowse, Henderson, Maddison and Grealish were left… to the detriment of talented but inexperienced kids.
      Guessing among these, at least 2 of them should be taken to Euro- 24. IMHO

      There are always shock results in tournaments (e.g. England 1-2 Iceland 2016). Let's hope England are not on the wrong end of one again. I certainly don't make England favorites, but who knows ?

      Low hanging fruit, beat the teams ranked below you in the rankings, especially at home. If this team is as deep and as talented as many believe a loss at home should be troublesome at this stage. Southgate has come out of his comfort zone, England's historic comfort zone of over valuing experience over talent. "Let no one look down on your youth." The squad chosen are inform at their club level, Shaw is a gamble with lack of fitness and others played themselves off the team hoping that Southgate would pick them anyway, ops! Jack Grealish, Marcus Rashford! Hunger and youth be served! Even if it doesn't pan out this time round the young Lions will have gained valuable experience for the next go round! Win, win!

      Maguire, Maguire, Maguire! a throw back, a dinosaur, large, plodding, and slow. Modern football, back like has to be quick, nimble and mobile. Comfortable with the ball at their feet. After all, this is football! If transitions is key on the counter, your 'D" has to be able to get the ball up the pitch to the attacking players by demonstrating the ability to carry the ball with pace, pass with accuracy, and be a constant attacking threat in their own right. If you're lacking in those qualities you can't be on the team. Even goalie should possess elite on ball skills.

      Stop, cease, and desist taring goalies to punch the ball out of danger into danger. Goalies should at all time should want to possess the ball, CATCH IT. Much like a wide receiver in American football he catches the ball in traffic, under duress, and when contested. Why punch the ball and more often than not give your opponent another crack at goal? You're hands can reach above any opponents head including Cristiano Ronaldo. You're the only player on the pitch that can use his/her hands to defend goal, why punch it away?!

      In the women's game I've notice this obsession for defenders to pass backwards to the goalie, many times it ends up in the back of the net or at the very least gives up a scoring chance. Why do they insist on playing back to the goal. Seems like a dangerous way to pad time of possession states.

      England is a big footballing nation. I can't imagine them doing such kind of acts against blacks in the squad.
      First of all, why take away Sakas number 7. So much disrespectful.
      Then put him on the bench, loose the game then use Saka as scape goat!!! Shame

      No one will watch sky sports news during the tournament if it's live on BBC / itv there's no point they are trying their best because they can't show it live they need to consertrate on the summer sports😂😢

      Not sure what everyone is stressing about…so what they lost to Iceland…come Sunday all will be forgotten…theres friendlies and there tournament football…England players have a point to proove to themselves…Southgate can only do so much he can only prepare them as best as possible….The players need to grow some balls and get themselves over the line and bring it home…they need to take responsibility and own there recent poor performance and be accountable for it.
