I think we need to play the strongest lineup, I haven’t watched them besides the France match, and imagine that’s the case for most fans, even some casuals, Japan is strong and we won’t have any other games to play before the tournament so going with the main squad is important imo

This is the first time I strongly disagree with you Braden. I wouldn’t treat this camp as a “participation trophy” and handout starts for guys who aren’t the best we have available. This group of players barely played together and this is a great test, and plus, losing to a strong Japan team can hit their confidence and make the already dejected fans even more hopeless.
If Mitrovic does anything other than start the strongest possible squad then he is pulling a Gregg, not caring about the win and with a medal as his end goal.
Don’t get me wrong, but if I tune in to watch Morris, Wiley, Bassett and not our strongest XI I’ll be disappointed. If we had two games I’d agree with Braden and choose a mixed XI for one of them but since that isn’t the case we must give our starting XI their last chance to prepare. Keep up the good work boys, this is currently the best soccer channel
I do question the roster but it’s so much more fun watching this U-23 compared to the senior team’s game last night against Columbia.

I disagree with you guys on Cremaschi,Cowell, and Bajrakteravic. I know they are not the most technical or fun to watch, But i think they can all be very effective off the bench. We shall see Tuesday in Kansas City. 🇺🇸
U23 USA and U23 Japan played their first friendly on June 7th, but it was closed to the public, so we don’t know the result. I’m really curious why it was so secretive. Flashscore just says Japan won, but there’s no other info like the scoreline, so who knows if it’s true. Can’t wait to watch the second game though!
Btw Braden I think we're going to disagree here. I think the fans need a strong result against Japan bc we need to feel like there's hope again. Ik this is a friendly and there are names that won't be on this roster and names that are going to Olympics but not here currently, but I still think we need a strong result.
