  1. The problem of England is that they always wanted to go forward, they wanted to do it fast and efficiently.

They donโ€™t go sideways or backwards first in order to create the perfect situation to go forward. They think that doing more is inefficient. They wanted to get forward as quick as possible.

As a result, they never get the ball forward in a perfect situation. Because they never create such situations.

If the opponentโ€™s defence is being dragged wide open, then making a pass becomes easy, and even a half decent pass would turn into a great chance.

If the opponent defence is still in good shape, itโ€™s difficult to make a pass, and even if you make a great pass, it wonโ€™t turn into a half decent chance.

England always go forward against a defence that is still in good shape. They never think of going sideways and backwards to breakdown the defence first.

  2. Grealish Palmer(F9) Eze
    Maddison Bellingham Foden
    RicoLewis(IFB) Stones White Trent(IFB)
    Ramsdale

On the bench, Pickford Pope Shaw Colwill Guehi JoeGomez Mainoo TommyDoyle Elliot SmithRowe Saka OmariHutchinson Bowen Sancho Sterling

Manager, someone who has previously played under or worked with Pep. Ex Spanish player and LaMasia graduates are preferable.

Tactics, 09-12 Barcelona, 17-20 ManCity, tiki taka.

Bellingham is the closest player England have in terms of matching the Busquets skill set. He has played number 6 for Dortmund at times and also in youth football. Even if you donโ€™t consider him a number 6, he has to be the one because no other players can do the Busquets job as good as he would. Foden, Palmer and Maddison canโ€™t quite do that.

Palmer can play the false 9 role like Fabregas did.

RicoLewis and Trent can be the Zinchenko and Cancelo.

Eze and Grealish are probably their most tricky wingers if you want some of Ronaldinho/Neymar magic in your team.

Ramsdale, White and Stones are their most tiki taka capable GK and CBs.

  3. Kane is the biggest problem, and by that I mean Southgate not having the balls to tell Kane to stay up front.

    Drops far too deep

  4. If Cundy was the manager of England or any PL club then losing and relegation is a normality because he seems like still can't spot England weakness against Iceland which is the not functioning number 10 role played by Foden.

  5. English media blaming Saka who played for 25 mins๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ bunch of brexit voting clownssss

  6. None of your players are good. They are all system players. Bellingham is your best player by farrr as he is the only person that can play in any system. This shows why no English manager has won a prem and you import everything good about you because the ball iq in this country is the worst I've ever seen.

  7. The punditry is weak because you want to force fit Foden into the first 11 … with this mentality England will not win anything , play players in their best positions

  8. Trent is basically beckham, a champions league/premiear league winner, and already has 70 assists at 25. Use trent as an inverted RB and play Stones and Walker as CBs. Rice and Bellingham as a dou Bellingham in a double pivit with Foden as the 10. Jude moves up when Trent inverts crezting a box. Saka stays wide for wdith. Gordon forbpa e (also to receive long balls from Trent)

  9. English media obsessing over a pass by TAA in a friendly…then overlooking England lost a friendly.

Cannot wait for the post-mortem after England are knocked out…again.

  10. I'm glad Jason has actually given a practical example of how difficult it really is to break down these low blocks. You get so many clown fans who think it should never be that difficult to break down but in the world of football reality – it really is. It's not just about finding a way. It's about a mistake or a perfect cross that lands in the perfect space with a player who produces a perfect strike. There's nothing the manager can do about that.

  11. Defo Branthwaite over Dunk. Grealish should have gone over Gordon aswell. Gordon is too raw and inexperienced. Runs around a lot with no end result.

  12. Bellingham would be the best player on the pitch no matter where he plays, probably better than pickford in goal too, so playing too far forward i think you lose so much of his ability, i want to see him everywhere involved in everything, he can go past someone in midfield and change the whole picture

  13. Bellingham plays in the 10, foden left, Trent and rice behind in a double pivot. You need Trent in this team, the whole he canโ€™t play there is ridiculous. Literally been our best player in the last few games, proved he needs to start.

  14. Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia before winning the World Cup. Spain to Switzerland 2010 first game. Portugal were TERRIBLE in the group stage in 2016. People need to relax. We live in a hyper reactive society. Was it acceptable to lose at home to Iceland? No.But it will have little bearing on the tournament. The only warning signs were how easily they countered at times.

  15. Phil Foden is so overrated in international football. Done nothing and has had plenty of chances. To change people into positions that are not their preferred is not warranted just to fit Foden.

  16. geezers an absolute muppet…Appointing a manager to a national side whos experience to date prior was getting a premier league side relegated is suicidal…It doesn;t matter what players a manager has at their disposal they have to be coached and Emery has proven this by getting villa champions league with practically the same team that gerrard nearly got relegated…Counting down the days now awaiting for England to get knocked out so we can finally get rid of this clown…Roll on to the world cup

  17. Thats the 2nd time someone has said that Bellingham looked tired in these friendlies. These fuckers do not watch the games, the kid hasnโ€™t even pulled up to camp yet

  18. England coach tries to play players in positions where they play at club level it will never work. Play them in their specific positions.

  19. I'm just waiting for the England debacle at Euro 2024 and its fallout. I think England will not even top the group and will get knocked out in the last 16. Why? The pressure of expectations will overwhelm this team.

  20. Playing Bellingham deeper would putto much pressure on Declan Rice because quite simply he doesnโ€™t work hard enough off the ball. I like Jude Bellingham and he is going to be a top player but not as a number 8 when playing only one defensive minded midfielder in the team.

  21. The Iceland game was crying out for Wharton with his progressive passing, I was pulling my hair out watching 90 mins of sideways passing yet again, it doesnโ€™t matter how inexperienced he is, he is the only type of player we have who takes the ball off the defenders on the half turn and instantly passes forward, he knows what he is going to do before heโ€™s received the ball.
This would allow Rice to play his Arsenal role and press.

  22. Southgate should of been sacked when Italy beat us but fa wants a yes man and now look what iceland beat us it don't mater if it's is a friendly england team is worth 1.3 billion and he makes them look like Stoke no disrepect but show you why people were calling for his head 4 years ago ๐Ÿ˜ข

  23. All talk on defence…we CANT BREAK DOWN a LOW BLOCK…Iceland. That's a problem. He needs to be coaching them on this, because in group stages atleast this will be a common theme.

  24. We aren't stupid,we've all watched football and played to levels. We know it's not easy to break a well drilled organized side,if you've just taken over, trying to work out your system, tactics, formation etc. Southgates been in the job nearly 9 years, the Iceland team manager,it was his first game in charge!! Who you trying to kid, stop dumping and say it how it is. As two ex professionals you know as well as we do Southgate is the issue!

  25. WE ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ really donโ€™t learn from our mistakes.

PLAY YOUR BEST PLAYER BELLINGHAM in the 10! His our talisman itโ€™s not foden ๐Ÿ™„

  26. English media have to be intentional with this, they waited for few days to pass & they are back to the propaganda that Foden as a 10 & Bellingham must be sacrificed cause Rice on his own is not enough defensively(they don't want to admit it) & so Bellingham has to be sacrificed instead of lesser players like Foden. No wonder England are so mediocre.
