It's crazy how the Sky Sports 6 media is unable to acknowledge that Konsa is England's most 'pure' CB and has been the whole of this season. I have no idea how anyone believes that Branthwaite is in anyway a better defender than Konsa considering their club's respective league positions and how key each player has been for their clubs.

Why do people keep saying Harry Maguires never let England down – have a re-look at the mistakes he made against Germany at Wembley in that 2022 Nations League game – and also he was the one who was supposed to be marking Giroud when England conceded the 2nd goal against France in the WC.
Maddison had 3 poor months and gets dropped. Maguire has had several poor years and still would have got in if he wasn't injured. The options aren't an excuse because there's still at least 5 better CBs than Maguire, including Branthwaite.

Branthwaite needed to be in instead of Toney. Cannot see how we are possibly going to utilise Kane Watkins and Toney in this tournament (keeping in mind Bowen can also play centrally)

What I don't get is why tarkoski and branthwaite are together in that team. Add the facts that they have had the best season than any other English pairing plus they play at front of Pickford.
