Southgate needs a LB for euros, 33 man squad and 1 left back that isnt even fit and hasnt been for most the season… its not like there wasnt any decent young english lbs that had a good end to the season…. he may as well play 3 at the back and just go for goals goals goals ya can lose if ya dont let goals in but you cant win if you dont score them at the other end

If no shaw then the easy thing to do is play Trent and let him push on and sit with a back 3
If Southgate wants to play Trippier on the left, he should give him an Inverted Fullback role, so he can deliver passes from the centre with his stronger foot.

Even if Shaw is healthy. I wouldn't hold my breath. He's been back in the form he displayed when he was under Mourinho.

My thoughts as well. Liverpool had the same problem when we had to play Milner at LB during that period before we bought Robbo. In swingers towards the far post are also easier for the keeper to claim. It gives the low blocking opposition too much time to reset as well.
