One good thing that came from Courtois' Injury is that Lunin got to show that he is capable to stepping into his shoes after he retires. What a fantastic player for his age honestly

For those who kept saying Lunin should've started final, Lunin didn't play not because of flu, it's because the best goalie in the word the back, regardless of flu. Had Lunin played today, Marid would've been down 1-2 goals by half time, then Madrid would've won regardless, just like how Lunin allowed B Silva near post free kick or Sane near post, Madrid always comes back and wins. So for those who keep saying Lunin "carried" Madrid final, Madrid got there DESPITE Lunin mistakes. Thank goodness Lunin didn't play today and Madrid was able to keep a clean sheet because of that.

Thats the issue with the GK position today. People look at the feet rather than the shotstopping ability. I need a keeper that can keep me 0-0 when im being overrun, not a keeper that can create a goal

this is kind of cool situation. i know that "humility" is pushed on in modern society as some sort of virtue, but having someone like courtois who is so confident that he is legit bordering arrogance is very refreshing. he is like "yeah, coming back wasn't too hard, this is what i do after all". he is talking about coming back from season long injury into actually the most important game in football while missing the entire UCL campaing. i love this dude. team always needs one person like him.
Courtois did very well but Lunin deserves all the credit he deserves for getting them to the final! Shame he didn't play this final because he was ill

As a Belgian we all know how full Courtois is of himself. He loves himself a bit too much at times. Honestly Lunin got them there. Some credit to him wouldn’t have hurt Thibaut. Notice how every time Courtois talks, he will point out some of the great things he did. That said most of it is deserved. But I’d love to see him a little bit more humble. Nevertheless 2 fantastic keepers.

It was a pretty average game for Courtois. Kobel was much better really from goalkeeping pov. Hes just a fan lol. Also, saying man of the match is absurd. Not a good pundit at all.
