PSG is heavy favourites to land Yoro. And yes, it could be the price thing that's opposing us pursue the deal. There are plenty of options, but my two favourites are Alessandro Bastoni and Giorgio Scalvini. Sadly they're Italians, and we all know that they don't really wanna leave their home soil. But if we could manage either of them, it'd be phenomenal. But I don't know co we ain't linking with any defender apart from Yoro, that is even now seems unlikely.

He’s refusing to sign a contract extension with Bayern Munich meaning that they have to sell him this summer knowing full well that he’ll leave on a free next season and Real Madrid have been interested in Alphonso Davies, realistically they don’t need him. They need a RB CB and another midfielder or 2 in the team. They already have 2 left backs who’ve both been in terrific form this season. Ferland Mendy has been excellent in the way in which he’s provided balance in their back 4 and Fran Garcia has played well whenever he has been on the field. Mendy has been so good to the point where even if Real Madrid sign Davies he’s not guaranteed a starting spot.

Alphonso Davies is an incredible player don’t get me wrong, but he’s not had a great season and he has regressed at Bayern Munich in the last 3 seasons. That goal against Madrid with his right foot was impressive and the ones who judge him off that moment, it’s obvious that they don’t watch the Bundesliga because he has been inconsistent all season. He’s dealt with niggling injuries here and there, when he’s been fit, he’s not at his best and he is seen as a weak link and a defensive liability for Bayern Munich. There’s a certain section of people who think that he’s playing out of position because he started his career as a left winger who’s been a left back at Bayern Munich of late. He’s still only 23 years and it’s true that he can improve as he’s a talented player who’s shown flashes of glimpses, Real Madrid should think twice before signing him because they already have enough options at left back and the guy is also unreliable too.

If Kylian Mbappe was going to Real Madrid in 2021 and 2022 the hype around him would be understandable and while he’s finally making the move in 2024, there’s not as much as optimism as there was a couple of years ago even though he’s their biggest superstar signing since Cristiano Ronaldo. A big factor in that is down to how long this transfer saga went on for. It just became a big old soap opera that showed no signs of ending at all. One day, he wants to stay at PSG, tomorrow he’s going to Real Madrid and even he didn’t know what to do with himself. Fans grew tired of this uncertainty and wanted a conclusion very quickly. For what 6-7 years everyone has known that Mbappe will end up at Real Madrid even if it’s taken forever. There are fans who think that he’ll disrupt the dressing room and cause a divide and imbalance and think that Mbappe needs Real Madrid more than they need him. Perez always gets what he wants. He stayed at PSG for too long, but it’s better that he’s going to Real Madrid rather than staying there for a season or 2 or going to the premier league or Saudi Arabia. It’s better late than never and this dream is about to happen in reality and many Madrid fans can get a jersey with Mbappe’s name on it. After the champions league final before he goes off to the EUROs with France, he’ll officially be a Real Madrid player and this was the expected outcome for Mbappe.

It’s great that Kylian Mbappe will finally be a Real Madrid player in 2024, despite that it was still a mistake for him to stay at PSG in the first place. 2-3 years ago, Real Madrid actually needed Mbappe. For a while after Cristiano Ronaldo left, they were lacking a genuine superstar and Mbappe was that guy for them. At the time signing him made sense because Vinicius Junior wasn’t as good as he is now and their attack apart from Karim Benzema was very inconsistent, paid big money for Eden Hazard not only was he injured every time, but when fit he was never able to replicate his Chelsea form. They were willing to pay over 250 million for him and PSG rejected that and if they knew that he was gonna leave on a free in the next couple of years, there were better off selling him for that price. What PSG did they convinced him to stay in such a stupid way because he was given a ridiculous contract with a lot of money they gave him so much power and authority meaning that he was bigger than the club and I can’t remember any proper team that gave an individual this much money as that would never happen at Manchester City Liverpool or Real Madrid. Anyways, during this period, apart from Ligue 1 titles, Mbappe and PSG haven’t won much meanwhile Real Madrid have won 2 La Liga titles, they won the Champions League and are in another champions league final and had a player lift the Ballon Dor. Vinicius Junior is their main man he’s a world class player and Jude Bellingham has also been terrific too and Rodrygo has delivered for them in big games despite his inconsistency.

You look at this team they need a number 9 more than Mbappe like Erling Haaland for example or another striker. They don’t realistically need him, but since he’s available on a free, any team can get him. There’s no guarantee that Mbappe would be Real Madrid’s best player even when he joins because they have 2 Ballon Dor contenders players with loads of PR too and going to Real Madrid, he’ll win a Ballon Dor, but he’s not guaranteed to win it every year. I don’t believe that his ego will cause issues in the dressing room because at Real Madrid you’re not bigger than the club nobody is apart from Messi and Ronaldo and when he arrives there he knows that he’ll have to play as a number 9 whether he likes it or not. The day he fights with Florentino Perez and acts like he’s bigger than the club, Mbappe will get kicked out of Madrid and I don’t see that happening. There’s just this feeling that he needs Real Madrid more than they need him and we wouldn't be saying this about him had he not stayed at PSG for too long.
