It’s just how the market works. West Ham don’t want to lose him, so they’re gonna put a ridiculous price tag on him to try and stop other clubs from buying. Simple. It’s the same with Pedri’s 1 billion release clause
80 mil is in my view the realistic sum that West Ham would accept and anything above that is a masterclass by West Ham.
Next season Chelsea will get him for 50-60 mil.

Because a club like West Ham cant find an equal or replacement too him for £70m. Every player west ham could buy with that money would be 1 or 2 clear downgrades. How much dont you think Bellingham would cost, and how much of a gamble isnt that? Just look at Sanchoand how that worked out, and who says the deal wouldnt get hijacked by a CL club like always.
West Ham were first on the Diaz and had a done deal, But Liverpool hijacked it and as he would rather go to Liverpool for less money, nuff said.
No idea where everyone’s got this £150M figure from. Memes aren’t reality and West Ham would never get that for him. Likely more around the 50-100 mark. Someone’s worth what someone will pay for them and in modern football, that seems to be around what he’d go for.
