Chelsea are overrated
Harvey elliott is definitely not 10 times the player maddison is. That's exaggeration to the point of idiocy.
I rated Maddison for time, but then he joined Spurs and my tribalism took over and I think he’s not even worth a bag of crisps 😂

Maddison is not overrated.
His touches and close control are close to Spanish standard.
He is quite silky and tekky on the ball. Capable to do skill moves and play through passes.
The only downside is that he doesn’t have experience playing in a modern positional play system with complex tactics, and he doesn’t have experience playing tiki taka football like Palmer or Foden.
Palmer and Foden are so Spanish on the ball. Skills, flair, technicality and tactical intelligence all combined in a player.
Is Rory joking? Can’t quite tell if he’s acting like this for clicks or not. Because he is clueless if he actually believes this
How can you even compare Elliot to Maddisson. Madisson was on for signing of the season before his injury
I could've sworn at one point in the season Rory made the argument why Chelsea/any team should've signed maddison. Atleast make the interaction bait a little believable

LFC fan here Maddison would be injured 90% for the style that LFC plays with klopp and the way with slot plays he would not see the field

Another huge thing is what their role will be. Neither player will start, so who will make a bigger impact playing for 30 minutes? And when you think about that maddison can pull out magic more consistently than elliot. Not putting elliot down as well he is an amazing talent and could develop to a great player 🙂
Some little Beckham clone like Maddison wouldn’t last 5 mins at Liverpool. Our best midfield this season has been Endo, Macca and Harvey and he’s not getting into that. Trent does all the stuff he’s good at and a better level so he’s not needed anyway.

He was unreal before he was injured then suffered a 3 month injury and hasn’t quite returned to form. But this has coincided with Spurs losing form. This is unreal bias and delusion from Rory. Not that we expect anything less
