  1. A lot of people don't know this but I'm Hawaiian so I do I guess…. George holani is much better than Zach charbonnet . You put George out there with our running backs. She has the potential to become second and even the first team player. He's a bruising Polynesian powerhouse back right in line with the great Marshawn Lynch. And that is facts. He was the Polynesian player of the Year. And that's a thing… And if you know how tough Polynesians are, then you know how tough this kid is.

  2. Haynes to center seems like a novelty bit if he never took those snaps in college and there's not an explanation for how the physical skills translate. It would be nice to hear some more to back up this prediction

  3. Hey Brian,
I just wanted to thank you and the guys for all the great draft coverage this year. All the hours and research you put into the content every year is really a treat for me. I have lived out of state for a while now and I don't have a lot of Seahawks friends so you guys are like my Seahawks family. I wish I could support you financially but my wife and I do not see eye-to-eye on that subject. I've learned being married for 14 years that I have to pick my battles and unfortunately you are not one of them. Lol
That being said hawkblogger, Seahawks draft blog and the Seahawks Overload podcast are a big part of my NFL experience and I can't tell you how much I appreciate having you guys to share it with. I can't wait to see what this year brings our beloved Seahawks!

    Have a great evening. 🌜

  4. These guys had a chance at the top of the fourth to grab Cedrick Gray, a much better prospect. Knight will probably never hit the field this next season other than special teams.

  5. All they needed was a good back up line backer this year! 2025 is a good LB class commen sense is what ruled our LB strategy this year!

I thought they did a great job at CB this year! Overall CB has not been good for Seattle last few years even though there’s been good & great individual performances!

2025 is a great draft for S & LB which has a tremendous impact on Seattle’s 2024 off-season! Plenty of time to add additional players this year.

  6. Sam Howell is a great acquisition & obviously cost Seattle LB Junior Colson who is a slam dunk Seahawk draft pick! Cooper, Colson, & Knight were the only LB’s worth drafting this year.

I love Sam Howell he has the skills & MENTALITY to be a great NFL QB unlike 98% of the QB’s last decade!

  7. Schneider made a statement drafting Howell & his day 3 draft this year! He’s literally rubbing it in everyone’s face challenging Everyone! Schneider waited many years to do this & needed the right draft to do it, if he’s wrong it will cost him his job & he knows it!

    Watch out!

  8. LB Knight is Fearless & Coachable all of the other LB’s in this class pale in comparison! I see a clear path to this draft being a transformative draft winning us a future Super Bowl hopefully with Geno but most likely with Howell!

Knowing Schneider Seahawk history it’s obvious to me!

  9. Remember in your assessment of what Murphy needs to be, D Line often takes up to 3 years before they start to come into their own. If he truly is the blue chip we think he might be, that's still probably 2 years. That is especially true because we have so many players in the interior already. Murphy is going to be fighting for snaps.

  10. Nobody likes negativity is what the problem is. Instead of looking at the good in the players they drafted you guys spend too much time looking at what they didn't do. It's boring.

  11. Day 3 and we are focused on draft value?! How long has this guy Rob been doing this? What kind of team focused on value in day 3. You go for needs and players you like. Value is legit for the first few days.

  12. Cool chat boys! Grade A's on R1 R3 R5 R6 as value vs aggregate big board is gr8 – on 5 of 8 picks ( great value man) ima happy 😊
Happy to let JS & Mac take a swing on 3x day 3 boys that they love, in the hope of hitting a home run.
R1 R2 R3 matters much much more than day 3. (we avoided LJCollier & Malik McDowell types – that alone is a big win)
As days 1 & 2 went so brilliantly well for JS & Mac, they took gambles in R4 for thier favourites. I think we can trust Mac as he has a proven track record of improving LB's a lot. A la Pat Queen.
JS loves Dissly Barner blocking TE types with positive optimistic personalities.
As per Mike Sando's deep dive research, a great draft is one where u get
    1 pro-bowler (e.g R2 DKM)
    2 solid starter (e.g R3 T.Lockett)
    3 an OK back-up (e.g day 3 Stone Forsythe)

An amazing draft occurs only once in a decade for only top 5 very good drafting teams & is where u find a HoF (Hall of Famer). Eg Sherman.
Even if all the other picks fail but u get one HoF, its an great draft.
Look at Hawks history, how many HoFs have we had in nearly half a century?
I personally loved R1 Cobra BM2 & R3 Haynes, R6 Leameu & R6 DJ James the most, as they have the most upside potential to become future pro-bowl types ( a la Unger & Byron Maxwell & Sweezy ).
If my fantastic four become stars we going to win SB's very soon.
Thanks for the nice chats boys.
I enjoyed this a lot on the way to work for a change mgt meeting with NHS executives. Yep, it won't be as fun as this.
The age old tension between the optimistic impatient 12s – (i want a SB & i want it now, cuz I'm a hormonal impatient teen or age 81 & times running out)
    Versus
    High standard demanding 12s
    [ i want a dynasty as I'm age 30's-50's & want to enjoy a 20 yr run of 2 lots of 3 SB's in 5 year periods, thus
    ( = 6 SB's in 2 decades)
    a la Belichicks Pats 2001 to 2021 ].
That tension between the impatient 12s & the demanding 12s will never end boys. So learn to live with it as the 12s are an international family.
As per Condotta's X – JS got Howell for a R7 on the Fitzgerald trading scale. Howell has better TD INT ratio stats than Josh Allen after 17 games, & he played with a very weak run game, WR's who dropped a lot of his TD's & passes, & OC's who got fired.
The brits are usually right though, a la Winston Churchill warning america to help him take out Hitler in 1934 to avoid WW2 in 1939 & save millions of lives. (Relax … i'm just teasing yanks are cool too, eg Walter Payton, Vince Lombardi, Pete Carroll, Prez Abe Lincoln & 12s very own Batman Brian Nemhauser & Nightwing Griff)🎉

  13. I think it is fair when looking at the totality of this draft, to include the players we traded draft picks to get, because i think that's how John looks at it.
If you add in the names Leonard Williams and Sam Howell, I think the overall draft looks much better, and I think it's reasonable to look at it that way.

  14. The only thing I think fans can actually get annoyed with is when a team has a clear need at safety and there’s a guy who’s there in the 4th that’s high on everyone’s board and we pass on him and he goes on to become hof levels

  15. —– ——– is a big armed, fairly athletic QB with average accuracy and issues processing information in real time.

Am I talking about Drew Lock, or Sam Howell?

  16. Not sure how often we change scouts so can’t tell if it’s consistently john dropping the ball or a “group effort”. I know we’re not scouts but I would say that there are definite needs we can all see and I’m not sure we hit on the later guys. Not everyone can be Lucas but we passed on players that we have “traits” that we could do with. That said Go Hawks 🎉🎉
