Ronaldo’s ‘shocking’ interview where he said that he feels betrayed by Manchester United. is set to air on Wednesday.
His criticism of United and manager Erik ten Hag appears to have cost him the maximum fine of two weeks’ salary, and the Dutchman reportedly does not want to see the striker again in a United shirt.
It seemed to irritate Fernandes, as video of the two greeting each other at Portugal’s World Cup match went viral.
There was an uncomfortable greeting and some words spoken between the two, leading fans to believe that something was wrong, but that wasn’t the truth.
Fellow Portugal teammate Joao Mario confirmed that claim, saying, “It was a joke between them, Bruno was one of the last to arrive at the camp and Cristiano asked him, ‘Did you come on a boat?'”
Ronaldo was able to travel out early to meet up with the group after being unable to play in United’s last two games before the six-week World Cup break.
