This week on EFD it’s not a top ten, but instead an 8 things to watch – all about the coming international break. We take a look at the home nations, who all have different things to play for – England are trying to salvage their Nations League campaign, whilst Wales are going for promotion from their division. Scotland are facing a battle on two fronts – Nations League promotion AND their Euro 2020 playoff final, meaning it’s a big week for Andy Robertson and co. We also provide a brief overview of the rest of the Nations League, as Portugal and France clash and Spain and Germany also face each other, whilst the Netherlands are in something of a lull since Frank de Boer took over from Ronald Koeman, who obviously left for Barcelona. A brief look at some smaller nations follows, including Luxembourg, Georgia and North Macedonia, before we venture outside of Europe. That’s because the South American World Cup qualifiers are now underway – big games ahead for the likes of Brazil and Argentina.
