Great tactical decision to not play either our best or 2nd best player on the team during the World Cup. This is like Zimmerman's tactical decision to throw away the win for no reason. USMNT just has a few low level positions still in play, we need an international coach and if you play in the MLS you are not at the level we require anymore. It's brutal honesty, and that's what it will take to win at this level.

Berhalter just wants to use this tournament as an excuse to be around for 2026. The only way berhalter stays is if he gets us out if this group into the next round. He cannot draw or lose all his games and expect to be rewarded. That's the problem with USsoccer in general unlike other sports like NFL bball etc…ussoccer seems determined to reward mediocrity and failure. If berhalter is smart enough to get us into the next round then he has earned the right to stay….otherwise start asking klopp if he wants a change from liverpool….
