Southgate does not have balls to be bold in his approach. He is seriously hampering a brilliantly talented England squad. They should get rid of him and get someone with balls, cause his balls won't drop anytime soon – maybe never.
The bottom line is we won't win anything under Southgate. Our players are not as good as we think. They are flattered by all the foreign talent around them at their clubs. Foden for instance looks very ordinary for England. Kane and Bellingham are our only two world-class players. It's no accident that those two were sought by top foreign clubs.

As soon as England come up against a real top team particularly one of the big teams theyโll go out.
Itโs n5 a lack of bravery that is the problem. Itโs a lack of tactical nouse. Southgate is not very tactically astute. You donโt watch any of his teams and come away having seen a tactical ingenuity like you do when you watch a Pep team or a Mourinho team or a Klopp team. Itโs as if he just tells them to play to their strengths. Thatโs hardly a tactic is it.

England have the energy and ability to play a high pressing game and blow teams off the park. Its about being brave and taking chances. I never see England dominate teams and scare them. The France game was a perfect example. They showed them too much respect. If they had bullied and pressed that France side they would have easily beat them. Nothing has changed judging by the games against Brazil and Belgium. Both teams were average and should have been put to the sword. Most teams mirror the coaches personality(or lack of one).
