  1. I think the reason Casemiro is still playing is because he helps us in the set piece plays as we are a very small team.

Otherwise, he has no reason to play him, he is utterly way off.

  2. He's in trouble allright. Media are trying to get him out for months and recent results work as a katalyst. But I remember our football last season, at times we were amazing. This season has been a freak season. Johnny Evans, Maguire, a 19 year old fledgling, shouldn't be guaranteed starters at CB, however well they play at times. You can't play possession football with an immobile defense. I can't see us conceding these Bournemouth goals/chances with Varane and Licha in the back. If he goes on to win the FA cup and gets us to play good football for the rest of the season, I 'd keep him for next season. But any more slip ups, and the pressure will become unbearable.

  3. Personally I tend to think that Casemiro's decline is down to the PL refs and VAR, the media, and the supporters who do not understand the notion of actually 'supporting'. I feel sorry for the lad. He now finds himself just going through the motions of remaining visible in the shop window and make it to the end of the season injury free to secure his end of career Saudi bonanza along with Varane. These are the kind of mistakes that we cannot make anymore as far as signings are concerned. Old heads on young shoulders like Licha is the only way to go.

  4. It's hard not to pour a bit of blame on EtH but I think our season has snowballed out of control from when the ownership talk started and everything from the top down has affected the season. Uncertainty, the running of the club the medical the injuries etc etc etc is a shitshow. We have to give Erik the last season of his contract under a new criteria and take it from there. He deserves at least that. Just an opinion.

  5. I Keep Thinking 🤔 Back to the Brentford & Chelsea games & Points lost 😏 Especially with Spurs & Villa having the odd slip up…But After Villa’s win yesterday Champions League we’re Having a Laugh 🤭🙄 I’d Still say stick with ETH As haven’t got a Scooby who’d Replace him plus it ain’t all his fault….

  6. “Louis’s were always weird” made me laugh out loud. Man, I miss his press conferences! His football, not so much but his press conferences were box office

  7. United fans who want to keep this manager at this point are just straight up delusional. He's done nothing to deserve a single minute more in the job. Tactically inept, favoritism, zero man management and communication skills, hypocrisy. He has all the wrong characteristics and he's 1 row away from the club's worst league finish

  8. I think I'm just gonna tune out of football for a bit. Wait for the FA Cup games.

What else is there to say about the season? Same problems on the pitch because the same players on the pitch.

And it seems like everyone has stopped rightfully blaming the players who are putting on these performances week after week and started blaming the manager. And I get why, when you keep seeing the same problems, and the players keep making the same mistakes, why hasn't the manager found a way to mitigate those issues?

And you're right, if you want us to stop these issues with space and build up play, we should just stop pressing and be compact. Because why should we put a team like Bournemouth under pressure, we should have just dropped off and let them have the ball and try to steal a win on the counter. It's not like United fans would have been even more furious with a cowardly performance against a midtable team. or like that's the exact thing that got thrown at Jose and Ole.

We've got a manager trying to play Ajax football with a team that resembles West Ham, and what we should do is forget everything we've done for the last 2 years and just play like West Ham. Because there's no way that'll backfire, and the fans definitely won't turn on the manager if we end up with a string of 0-0 draws to see out the season.

  9. Look at Emery at villa & villareal vs Emery at PSG & Arsenal. Same with Poch at spurs vs Poch at psg & Chelsea. Players at the big clubs have too much power & are more than happy to fuck off their manager.

  10. Getting rid of Ten Hag would be daft. We get rid of him and we start a “rebuild” for the 6th time in a decade. New manager bounce, everything is rosey for 18 months or so then the inevitable collapse comes. I hate using injuries as an excuse for anything, but I think it’s valid when we’ve had about 30 different back 4 combinations. Give Pep this squad and watch him struggle for Europe as well. Ten Hag isn’t doing anywhere near as bad as the media wants you to think. Getting rid of ETH is at the very best a sideways move. I also don’t want our gaffer position vacant with all the talk of fucking Southgate 🤮

  11. I'm still waiting for same video to be done about Rashford and Bruno…
    Both way worse than casemiro…
Hopefully howson has some backbone and stop that double standard shit just because he has Rashford on WhatsApp

  12. Great analysis and opinion Ste! Our fans are just impatient idiots. The boards just incompetent. We need to start looking at the bigger picture and what needs fixing first before we sacking another manager.

  13. Great Analysis, the structure and squad is 100% fucked up,Villa are a great example of a club with good structure,Dependable manager, good owners and a recruitment system that has built a proper dependable TEAM! I honestly think we’re actually significantly over achieving, the squad is a Horrible mish mash of previous managers failures, overpaid prima donnas, and injury prone past their sell by date crocks with maybe two or three at best that should be kept and build up around.we don’t deserve to even consider European football in our current situation,if INEOS make the right appointments we can start to move forward but I’m thinking five year plan minimum before we can seriously challenge for proper trophies.

  14. Hey Ste, any chance to have a talk about the sh*t show that is the turkish league? maybe with a journo on rio's channel or even on stret paddock in one of the podcast, very interesting situation going on there

  15. Hey Ste, any chance it’s possible to analyse the work rate of each player relative to our games against Liverpool? Not sure whether data is available for this kind of analysis, eg. sprints per 90, km run per 90, presses per 90. Would be interested in particular to see rashford’s work rate compared to games where there is more of an ‘expectation’ to work hard (like Liverpool games). The eye test seems to indicate we don’t work as hard as we do v Liverpool, but would be cool to have data verify this – cheers 🙂

  16. Bit of an odd idea but given Antony’s aggression, ETH says he’s quick over the first 10 yards, and his work rate. Could he play the Casemiro role?
I know he’s used to only having to watch half the pitch playing out wide but he has the attributes to do the dirty work.
Other than Martinez and Antony nobody really seems to have any nastiness in this squad he could potentially give the midfield some bite.

  17. Rashford is a huge issue, a huge influence and HAS to go. I was excited with Garnacho, Pellistri and Amad and instead we’ve had Rashford stinking the place out everyweek and taking the piss out of the badge. He’s a brand who offers moments – that’s it

  18. Another shambles. Club in crisis and ain’t changing anytime soon. Remember when this bell end Howson was laughing at people suggesting McGinn was better than Casemiro on Rio’s channel a few months ago. The guys deluded and clueless.

  19. I don’t understand how you’d let ETH see out his contract? It was last year before he set a team up that didn’t concede 15+ shots in the league, and when asked in a press conference, HE DOESNT SEE THAT AS AN ISSUE!

As you said in the video, he keeps playing the same midfield and front 6, and we are still easy to beat and create very little, how can that be justified? He doesn’t change formation, doesn’t change personnel, even when we are getting battered, yet still expects good results? Definition of madness “doing the same action over and over again expecting a different outcome”

Literally ANY other manager would do better or at least try to change tactics to make us more solid, his failure to do his job will be why Ineos get rid of

  20. Totally agree on your Point 5. Root cause is the lack of structure in place. Sir Jim himself said this way back in his BBC interview (but of course the media instead picked up on him not explicitly backing E10H!). E10H is a very good coach with a proven record. He has been successful working within a clear, working, football-oriented organisational structure! Let Ineos get that structure in place and let E10H coach. Let the new management team try to get the right type of players in to suit the style of play E10H wants (which hopefully Ineos also wants) and replace those that do not fit. I do not want to see yet another manager ‘reset’ and repeat all the last 10 yrs mistakes.

  21. We turned down ÂŁ70m from Saudi last summer, to keep Casemiro… Insane! Hopefully they still have some interest this summer because no one else would pay more than ÂŁ15m for the man!

  22. It doesn’t matter WHO is on the board/upstairs, etc. The COACHING is horrendous. Tactical setup in and out of possession doesn’t require a sporting director/technical director.
