I’m really surprised how many people are sleeping on Barkley. For me RLC is too lazy

Kovacic n Barkley doesn't provides same offensive plays man, Barkley lacks holding the ball ability while kovacic can hold the ball n run froward with ease n also he's an upgrade to Barkley in defensive side, so kovacic is a great upgrade to Barkley but I still expect RLC to start over kovacic due to only one reason that's for goals, RLC can score more goals than kovacic.

Tbh I would prefer Willian for that Hamsik role and maybe we can get Pulisic next season as back up… maybe Kovacic can play there sometimes this season, but I would prefer Kovacic as back up to Kante. Whichever way I am pleased we got Kovacic and I am sure Sarri knows how to use him properly. My midfield team A: Jorghino-Kante-Willian. My midfield team B: Cesc-Kovacic-Pulisic/Martial.

Comparing Kovacic vs Barkley is undermining Kovavic. The guy is very experienced and got massive talent. Barkley is has a lot to learn from this guy

Kovačić is a great player but he needs to do more. All the skill he needs for this he has and even has some to spare. But he lacks confidence. All game I watched with him playing for the last year he would dribble through the defensive line and do a back pass.Why? He won a lot of space why, trying to keep possession? Make a risky pass to attacker or a winger, which he can because he is a great passer, and keep running to support him. I hope that Sari will make this right and get that skill set unlocked. Having Hazard and Kovačić on the field at the same time with their cutting dribbles will make Chelsea very vertically focused team and when you get Jorghino into this with his vision, positioning and passing ability will make a trio you do not want to mess with. I have a lot of hope in him breaking out of Zidans tactics and adopting Sari¨s stile because he will shine in it.
Kovacic can dribble forward and pass but he can't shoot that well.

His running inbetween the lines and his defense abilities make him such a solid midfielder and he's very underrated.
