      I think there is some truth to what Roy is saying but the fact of the matter is there’s nobody else who can score goals at the rate he can and the hardest thing to do in football is just that. So for that reason he’s elite even if the rest of his game isn’t up to scratch.

      Still, 36 goals in a season for the all-time Premier League record. Only Salah is more impressive with 31 non-penalty goals in a season, as Haaland had 7 pens in those 36 goals.

      Never thought Watkins would be up there with Herlannd…. Watkins has more assists too and Southgate played Watkins in a Style and tactical game that doesn't suite and play to Watkins Strengths because Southgate has always had issues with Villa players since playing at Villa .. he plays Konsa right back not centre back …luckily Konsa is versatile….he played Grealish in wrong positions until he joined Man city and if he played Grealish in the Final against Italy we would of won…Italy's defenders couldn't of coped with Grealish and Jack would of put Kane through or got us penalties and free kicks but no he didn't play him…. He wasn't playing Mings when Mings had great stats and was great in the Air and once he started playing him we was defensively better…how does McGuire start before Konsa ….look at there Stats….play Konsa Centre back with Mings next tournament and play Watkins just of Kane and we will have a chance of winning it…drop Maguire and play both Villa Central defenders… .he prefers Tony over Watkins ha ha ….look at Watkins stats for goals assists and holding and bringing others in to the box… Southgate should go because he will play City Arsenal United players etc ….

      Criticisms are warranted. However, they’re indirectly aimed at Pep as he’s said over and over he doesn’t want Haaland involved in buildup play. I think saying that is insane, but that’s what Pep has said. Also, when City aren’t playing quick it puts Haaland at a major disadvantage as well so Pep needs to coach him up for buildup OR stop playing such slow ball which marks Haaland out of the game. Notice he didn’t have these issues at BvD or Salzburg…
