Aaron Mooy will not let you down, he. May not look much but he can play. For Oz he is as good a player as Big Tom. Our best player in my opinion is Harry Souter who I would love too Go to Celtic
All class as always Hamish! Celtic are better with Aaron Mooy in the club! No question about it! He is a giant of a man regarding culture and character. This should never be underestimated. And, Harry Souttar is a Scottish 😜but I can’t wait to see him in the World Cup for Australia. He deserves it based on with his performances prior to the horrific injury
Overall this would have to be a positive signing for celtic, especially on a free. I'm not sure if Mooy will be able to force his way into the starting team. Time will tell, maybe he can. However I see him more as a guy who can rotate the midfield and perhaps really bring in some quality to help celtic through the grind of domestic football this season whilst having aspirations in the CL. Is he the player that brings the required quality to make celtic a competitive force in the CL against the big guns. Probably not…
What could define his time in this celtic team is how he gells within this team. Ange has this celtic team playing high tempo football and lots of passing however the passing is not always very penetrative. But they do tend to keep the ball off the opposition and run a lot. Mooy as has been said is not particularly quick and I think he's more of a slow moving but nuanced midfielder.
He will no doubt have quite impressive moments for celtic but the risk is the times when perhaps he's not perceived to be running or fast or "working hard" enough.
Ange at Brisbane Roar had a similar player to Mooy in Thomas Broich, a former Bundesliga player. Described as having "exceptional footwork and vision" on wikipedia that's Mooy as well. Mooy's striker scored 50 in 70 games so I would be playing him feeding GG and Kyogo. I wouldn't be surprised if Rogic ends up at Melbourne City as their #1 midfielder is joining Irvine at St Pauli.
Ange should coach the Scottish national team. They're a much better team talentwise than Australia, but what he could do with that talent would be worth seeing.
I think Mooy's weaknesses are overplayed. If you watch his games in the EPL, he was usually the least likely person on the pitch to turn over the ball. I honestly feel like the thing about him losing the ball easily is probably the opposite of the truth, as he tends to do exceedingly well under pressure. Some of the guys he was playing with at Brighton like Maupay were egotistical and disrespectful ball hogs. Mooy could have stayed but I could see how frustrating it was for him to play in a team that had some greedy individuals with lesser talent and wasn't utilising him to his fullest, so the big money opportunity in China probably looked appealing at that point. A lot of people in Scotland might not realise this, but Mooy's situation in China was a bit different to that of a lot of the top South American talent playing over there at the end of their careers. Signing Mooy was very attractive for sides over there because besides the fact that he's a top player, he's also technically from the Asian Federation, so he doesn't take up the few places allowed over there for non-Asian players. That just hyper inflated his pay cheque. I predicted on this channel last year when Ange was appointed that his number one target would be Aaron Mooy. I sincerely thought he would have signed him if he could. Honestly I can't see Mooy being a bench player in Ange's eyes or him being motivated to see out his career after that stint in China wasting away on the bench, especially with the World Cup approaching. The stuff about his lack of speed isn't that accurate and really depends on who you are trying to compare him to. If you just focus on watching him in EPL games like a lot of us Aussies do as neutrals to the results, you begin to appreciate how hard he works to try to win the ball back and knock in some great goals against the likes of teams like Manchester United. We are a bit biased, but as Hamish has pointed out, we've been right in the past. There is no need for cynicism – at least give things a chance before expressing such strong opinions. I wouldn't be writing all this stuff about Mooy if I had any doubt that he wasn't going to be a solid success for Celtic. Not that he's particularly injury prone, but I actually think that is probably all that could stop him from being a regular starter. I am predicting that Mooy will be a highly influential figure in midfield. PS. Aston Villa were really poor against a weak Brisbane side tonight and were lucky to win 1-0. I honestly reckon Ange's title winning Brisbane side could have beaten them, so I pray for Steven Gerrard. Celtic has been blessed to have Ange, Viduka, Scott McDonald, Rogic and now they've got Kewell and Mooy. We're sending our best and I don't think nepotism has anything to do with it at all. After all, Ange didn't bring in the 4 Japanese boys because they were his mates either. Because Australia is such a cosmopolitan footballing arena, I feel that some of the Aussie players bring an X-factor that puts them ahead of a lot of players in Europe, who are sometimes well drilled in doing the basics,1 but sometimes lack flair or what it takes to make a difference. BTW I think Craig Goodwin at Adelaide United would be a screaming buy for most SPL sides. It is rare to see a regular Socceroo in his 20's playing in the A-League.
Tom you are no old enough to comment on Mooy he will do well in Celtic Colours the only reason he went to china is because big money, he was on 175,000 USA dollars a week plus bonuses. Mooy has no play many games is fresh and motivated to do well read my lips Mooy will surprise many knockers in Glasgow
Alright, it has got to the point where Optus Sport probably has to secure the rights to the SPL for everyone back home in Oz. I don't want to pay a small fortune for 50 poorly curated sports channels, just to watch Celtic games, but Ange is kind of leading us all in this direction… I bet access to the Champions League in 4K will be the next thing we'll all be paying for now back here. A pity Tom Rogic won't be there too 😔 Mooy was half of my prediction last year. I honestly thought Ange would have gone in hard for Trent Sainsbury, but to be fair Starfeldt and Carter Vickers look pretty solid.
Celtic fans are annoying me when they keep talking about Mooy's age, Lubo Moravik nobody knew him in 1998, he was 33 years old when he signed for us, and he was amazing. Stop taking about Mooy's age, he is a top player!!
Fantastic upload bro loved the guests great people , i was shall we say meh about Mooy signing while not being negative it was like Biton resigning levels of hype lol but after this upload and the thought of Mooy recapturing his wonder years for the Hoops Ange and going to the World Cup has me changing my mind with the comments of the guests now im slightly more stoked about his addition while maybe not a first pick who knows what can happen if Ange gets in about Mooy like he did Ralstinio exciting times at CELTIC HH .
I am buzzing for this signing arron mooy is top quality remember watching him play for Brighton & Huddersfield & he was unplayable at the best of times once ange gets him up to speed just watch him go him & calmac are going to be such a dynamic partnership in the middle of that pitch & will the big games coming up watch thus space 👍 hh 🍀🍀🍀
Just a thought from watching this video, can see Ange eventually starting mooy and mcgregor. Since Ange has came in the one thing I have noticed is the way we rotate players are constantly changing into different areas. Mooy and McGregor can be very dangerous at rotating opening up the opposition midfield. Both players able to progress the ball through the gap and could play in the 4,8 and 10 role. However, whether it’s the mooy from Huddersfield we will see. Still hoping to be a great option to add 🍀

Go to Celtic
Mooy can sure pass a ball if he gets games . Looking forward to him and Kyogo linking up 👍
Could Aaron and Cal form a double pivot duo?

A 31 year old nobody who plays in China.
Celtic's ambition plumbs new depths.

Over the moon about Mooy joining Celtic

A-league fans are the biggest nerds lol.
Agnes tactics are high pressure, high attacking and high rotation of players.
With that said all the players will play they’re part but they need to stay sharp and ready.
That’s my opinion on it 💪🏻🍀

Aaron Mhoy
Where can I find that Aussie shirt? Can’t find it anywhere!

Thanks for having me on, it was an absolute pleasure. Looking forward to keeping a keen eye on Ange, Harry and Mooy from afar this season!
He's a gun not fast but tough and passing next level will allow our stickers to shine ,great coup
