Great points you raised Younes. I think there is a place in the squad for players like Gallagher. What he has, you can't buy with money. Sadly, he lacks the technical and maybe tactical abilities for a No.10 where Poch plays him. Surely when Nkunku & Carney are fully fit, you would much rather have either of them playing in that position but Poch loves Gallagher so much that you can see him either sticking with him even when both players are fit or Gallagher replacing either Enzo or Caicedo (which is also crazy). I repeat, every squad needs a Gallagher. He doesn't make any fuss, so for me, I'm ok with him staying cuz this board can't be trusted to spend the money wisely.

I want Gallagher to be good but he’s just an absolute liability when we have the ball. He’s good for a high press and energy but he kills attacks when we have the ball. He always looks for a backwards pass or the easiest pass he can find

Gallagher is a world class player in the wrong system. If he was in a different system with two pressing midfielders, his lack of creativity wouldn't even matter. Poch doesn't do enough tactically to hide our players flaws and create a team that's greater than the sum of its parts. Gallagher isn't a 10, and we don't really have a solution for the 10 role… yet we keep playing strategies that require a 10. Sigh,

The disrespect to Gallagher is insane. Technical superiority isn't everything. Liverpool created one of the best teams in Europe with a vital role for someone like Henderson. If you find the right system, every player who is exceptionally good at something and reasonably decent at everything else will have an important role.
