Sorry to burst your bubble here, but Gakpo has been problem for a long time now. Not seeing he lost this game for us in any way, but he is not the striker to bring on when you want to make a fresh problem for the opposition.
He just doesnt fit this team. He has no tempo, cant keep up with the games and always looks utterly lost.
Seriously, āGakpo on for Nunezā are the four words that all Liverpool fans fear. šš»āāļø
I'll back our team until the end of the season. But Gakpo has to be sold in the summer. He only excels when he receives the ball in the left half space, cut to his right foot and strike it clean. A one trick pony imo.
I love gakpo and donāt understand the hate either. He scores goals, heās not useless. The only thing I can say about him is it looks like he has clown shoes on. He runs, passes, and shoots like his shoes are 2-3 sizes too big. Iāve lovingly nick named him clown shoes as a result and ever since then I donāt care how he plays because heās the best pair of clown shoes in all of football.
We have to take the rough with the smooth, and also give Man U credit for staying in the game. If there was one game we could afford to lose, it was this one. We walk on!
Gakpo is a good player. I dont think coming in and out the team in different positions has helped him. He dosent loose the ball very much, he just takes too many touches and needs to move the ball a bit quickerā¦nothing that a bit of coaching and analysis wont help.

Sad as it is United fully deserved the win and fair play to them they deserve to celebrate. Itās a shame I love the FA Cup but we could still finish the season with 3 trophies.
Very bad performance. The way we got last 2 goals is unforgivable! (Nobody thought of making a red card to get us to penalties).
Those minority supporters don't understand that Gakpo is playing out of position. We seem to be short term in memory Gakpo destroyed Utd in the 7-0 demolition. Gakpo should have started instead of Lucho or Nunez. He has the ability to absorbed the energy from Utd and we will bring on our speed monsters like Lucho and Nunez when Utd has tired out in the latter part of the game. I think this game is a mistake of the Manager. But Klopp had done so much good this season, he is forgiven for making such mistakes. Nobody is perfect.
I understand the fact that we need to support our players, however every single player and the manager himself needs to be accountable for poor play. If performance continues to be below par action needs to be taken. That is why I feel that LFC will never be able to compete with Man city on par, because we allow sentimentality to cloud our decision making.
In life it is the same, if you do not perform at your job you can fired. So it's the same for the players as well. They must be held accountable for poor performances not constantly making excuses for them.
I am glad Edwards is back, we need someone surgical and cutthroat in order to make logical decisions that will improve the squad and not keep below par players in order to truly compete.
More often than not we are second best because of sentimentality. Hopefully that changes soon. YNWA

Elliot casually chickened out the tackle from Garnacho taking Bradley's duty off to mark him that led to his pass to Antony to score. He did it again against Amad that led to Bradley having to defend two Utd attackers countering and led to the goal.

I think Gakpo is not happy at Liverpool. But let's talk about some players Salah Thiago Matip Tsimikas Diaz Nunez Gakpo in my opinion I think they need to go. With a new manager on the horizon we must look at a refresh of our squad now some players are getting on and others look like they don't won't to be there I felt Nunez was a panic buy along with Gakpo. Diaz is becoming greedy maybe I'm just making it up but I'm not seeing progress I mean fans say give them time ! How much tho

Diaz needs a bit of a bollocking from Klopp & some clear instructions to pass to Darwin IMO – don't get me wrong, I love Lucho, but his decision making for the final ball is very poor now – to be honest the whole frontline needs to use Darwin as the focal point – it's too messy & sometimes Cody/Lucho & Jota are busy thinking about their own goal tallies rather than passing to the guy who is best positioned to be putting them in the back of the net – and yes, that guy is Darwin. Any other frontline he'd be getting all the service & he'd have 40 + goals this season. This channel is great btw.
