I also discuss Pedro Neto’s latest injury with Wolves, look at what Mikel Arteta has been getting up to during his time off and respond to your questions on several topics, including one on how Arsenal could replace William Saliba should he not be available.

  1. No on Neto….and as much as I like Tomi, have we learned nothing from our Thomas Partey experience? No, you cannot predict injuries…..but past injuries are indicative of future injuries, right? Mbeumo should be considered.

  2. Being around his physical trainers & therapist is the best thing for Thomas right. The intensity & consistency of his recovery must be on point. He's trying to save his football career – we already know he's a world class talent.

  3. Love Pedro Netoto death BUT it’s a FLAT NO!!

Do NOT want him under any circumstance due to his TERRIBLE injury record

  4. Hey Charles, thanks for the consistent Gunners updates, they are a great way for me to start my day over in the US!

Regarding coverage for Saliba (*knocks on wood again), I think Tomiyasu would be my choice as the right sided center back. Ben White has been showing time and again that he is our most effective right back at both inverting and overlapping the wingers and Tomi’s CB performances for Japan have greatly impressed me. Plus I think he’d have a good partnership with Gabriel already from playing left back so often. What do you think?

In any case, it says a lot about our defense’s versatility that so many could play RB, CB, or LB if needed

  5. Hi Charles. I support you on the EPL ahead of Champions league. Charity begins at home, we must conquer locally first. EPL first. Another point is that EPL is more realistic than the Champions for this season.

  6. Hie Charles,Great content and consistency as usual! I like Nico Williams from Bilbao,Edwards from Sporting as Saka backups but I haven't watched them too much, I feel like we need a pacey direct type, would change up the kind of threat we have, it was evident we missed Martinelli in the games he hasn't played so a pacey type like him would help.

  7. This is me. Jurrien Timber should be moved up into that number 6 position and push Rice to number 8. He ( Timber ) can now and then go back to the RB position switching with White.

Pedro Neto has always been my favorite. If Wolves can agree 35M for him, then we should definitely go for him. I believe we need a RW more than any other position. We need someone with both pace and skill and Neto ( taking out injuries) is that player for us.

  8. Re: alternative winger targets to Neto. Lots of good shouts for Nico Williams and Xavi Simons in your comments already. But just to throw a different name into the mix – Donyell Malen. Very fast, mainly a sub at Dortmund, when he plays mostly RW but has played LW. Oh and was in our academy for couple of years and has spoken about potential of coming back. Worth an outside shout?

  9. Personal opinion.
We don't need any new players in the next 2 years.
This squad with timber partey back plus loans patino lokonga and mika
Plus academy nwaneri. Miles scalley. Ocazio dubrey

  10. Yeah I hear you Charles but we also need to consider what that lost did to the mental state. They really wanted to win that tribble now the can’t their season might just be derailed.

  11. I’m becoming the type of fan I used to loath lol. Because I’d say nico Williams,,, but I’ve not seen him play, I’m just saying him because people like Clive Palmer and Gunnerblog are saying it.
In all honesty though whoever we bring in I’ll get behind and back the decision. Our recruitment has been second to none recently,

  12. Hi Charles, I've been an avid follower of your channel from Nigeria, I would pick the EPL over the CL thos season as it's more difficult to win.
And I would also go all out for Osimhen and then get a midfielder, them get another winger if we can.

  13. I think I agree on Neto being too big a gamble. On the SAM spectrum (Skill | Availability | Metal (Character)) I think he is Orange or Red for the Availability aspect. To be honest (and I hope I'm dead wrong on this concern as I think he's such a good and quality player and person (high S, high M)), I'm a little leery of the new Tomi contract because I think he is a Yellow on availability (and could trend to Orange). During the last Extra Time with James, when he mentioned Arsenal's prior propensity for signing players that were not readily available on a consistent basis, this came to mind. But again, I hope to be proven wrong in the concern as I often tend to be.
