  1. I really liked him when he 1st arrived both as a person and a player. He found the big boys too much and it must have destroyed his confidence

  2. Look across the pennines, we might have to take a hit on them. Although I've a feeling Farke could get him going, a year In u21s, a course of steroids and a just eat every night and he could be a player

  3. There are so many players we have had that just can not cut it in the prem, plus you soon get found out. This will also be evident if we are to be promoted this year. We have players that are playing against very average players in the championship, who lose the ball too easily of which will be pounced on and give us real problems. The chances we miss, will just not be good enough in the prem.
The thing is, fans have favourites, and are blinkered to their faults, then chose to pick on the players they do not like and try and put the blame on them !!
Similar to managers, great managers when the team are playing well, then are awful managers when the players just dont perform as they should. If we feel we have good enough players, then generally it is down to them.
Watch out for these observations if we drop any points !!!

  4. Young players like Brenden should be given another chance under a good coach like Farke/Bielsa.Good players become rubbish under Marsch like our first team last season!

  5. If you back to Bielsa wanting Connor Galagher either on loan or to buy, he was turned down so he could stay at Chelsea. Bielsa told Orta to go find him a Galagher and Aaronson was the answer and Bielsa agreed he would be ideal. We actually had an agreement in place to buy him for the following season. Bielsa was sacked but Aaronson arrived for Marsch. Remember Marsch was chuffed as he was the ideal half winger as Marsch described him. Remember Leeds first games that season featured on Match of the Day where Lineker, Shearer etc were raving about Aaronson. Terms like “Dynamo” metronome, fantastic, hustle and bustle and much more, they loved him. However I blame Marsch because he could see his Red Bull Ball wasn’t working in the prem and he wasn’t clever enough to adapt it, so screwed everything up and I believe Aaronson was hung out to dry in a strange position which really damaged him and his confidence. I think he needs a coach who would use him where he has always been used not in some hybrid role. That hybrid role made him look weak and not tough enough or bulky enough. There is a player in there. Today’s reports are saying Man Utd are chasing Weston McKennie, yes the same fat lazy lad who again not used properly under Marsch….

  6. Crazy to think rutter is younger than Aaronson, he looks like a more complete player at this moment with a much higher ceiling. I do think that a year in the championship would have been best for him, his biggest flaw is he needs to toughen up and there’s no better league to do that than the championship

  7. I think the championship would have forced him to toughen up his game either sink or swim. I don’t think it’s about bulking up, you see players like Archie with nothing on him yet he always managed to stay on his feet. It’s more of a mindset and he’s not got that fighter attitude

  8. We needed to loan out players with more due dilligence to find them teams that suit their playing style. Maybe they didn't have the choice though. Clearly he needed a pre season to bulk up, he's just too lightweight end of.

  9. His decline is self inflicted, thinks he is miles better than he actually is at this stage of his career. Could have stayed and played 40 plus games in the championship than about 10 in the bundersliga and developed.

  10. There were 2 players in recent time that we beat other clubs to, Brendan as you mentioned and JKA who Scum tried to poach wish in hindsight we had lost those races.
Brendan firms started to dip when he was dropped by USMT in the last World Cup (or not picked).

Marc Roca for me as long as he's placing himself in the shop window I'm ok with that hopefully get more than we paid for him

  11. I think there’s a player in there deep down, he just needs to bulk up. Let’s remember he came into a circus act at the club under the worse manager I’ve ever seen. If he’s unwilling to eat a bowl of pasta then he doesn’t have the ambition to make it

  12. Aaronson. All I remember was the huge hype about him before his arrival. He had a couple of decent games, but was always throwing himself on the ground and staying there! I seriously don't ever remember thinking that this guy's going to be quite something once he gets settled. As everyone says, he was too weak on the ball & wasteful in possession. I don't think Leeds would even be slightly interested in having him back. Tyler Adams was my #1. It doesn't seem like any of the US players we had have struck gold since leaving. McKennie, Adams, and Aaronson. Perhaps McKennie has done the best as Man U are looking at him? I haven't really been following very closely. But I thought that Tyler Adams would be a big hit wherever he went.

  13. This current team would struggle in the Prem, if they were having to compete technically week in week out at that level. The confidence of promotion would soon drain out of them, when up against better, faster, stronger players. There is no evidence to suggest they would prosper – for instance, Dan James has looked effective in the Champo, but couldn't get a shirt at Fulham last season. If we go up, I hope the Board and Farke realises this, and recruit accordingly. The players that have potential are Joseph and Gray, but so did Brendan A when we paid 25m for him, and potential means little if the performances don't match, time will tell

  14. Hola Conor, I made this comment to another subscriber, why hasn’t a Manager told BA here’s you gym programme after training you will follow this regime to make yourself physically stronger, if you don’t do it we will dock your wages……simples!?!?! Treat him the same way that a Manager would treat a player who puts zero effort into everyday training with the same punishment???

  15. The "fall of Brendan Aaronson?" 🤔

I wasn't aware there was ever a rise of Brendan Aaronson 🤔🤷‍♂️🤣

This is a guy to put it into context that played 26 league games for Salzburg in a terrible Austrian league in his final season there… and scored 4 goals as a CAM or RW.

To put that into further context, Rasmus Kristensen playing for that same team, scores 7 goals that season as a RB.

Then you inviting Aaronson to play in the best league in the world…. what on earth were people actually expecting from this kid 🤔😭🤦‍♂️🤣

He literally had no pedigree whatsoever… terrible recruitment from orta… and for £28m no less! 😫

  16. I don't think the whole issue is his physicality, looknat players like David silva, Bernard silva and zola all very diminutive physically. The issue with aaronson is the lack of anything else he has zero ingenuity, what he lacks in strength he has to make up for in other areas which he sadly doesn't

  17. Sorry but how bad do you want something, you work for it. I think hes lost without Jessie Marsch, follow the signs for the Job centre Brendan you can't miss him MOT

  18. Even Haaland went to Dortmund before he went to Man City. Same with a Bellingham. They took baby steps to get to the top. Brenden should have done the same

  19. I agree with Conor re the Dan James debate… He is so wasteful and often makes the wrong decision… it’s infuriating at times to watch him… it’s either Farke’s system or coaching and/or the drop the championship that has allowed him to flourish…. I don’t know how much more he can improve…. I don’t think he’s a PL player… nor is Piroe…. Some may think this is harsh…

  20. At the start ie Chelsea game fans mentioned potential even naming kewell but I can’t forget his feeble tumbles staring at the ref every time showing no intent in a miserable relegation cop out with many others game after game so I never want t pay t watch that again if lufc g up in prem why would we want him

  21. I recognized Brenden when he played for the USMNT for the first time as a player that Bielsa would want. And IMHO, had he been developed by Marcelo we’d have seen a completely different player. I look at what he did with Luke, Stuart, Coops, Kalvin etc…but he never got the chance, and too late, ended up with clown Jesse who couldn’t develop a player to save his life.
And now, maybe we’ll (and he’ll) never know what kind of player he could have been. Sucks for him.
