Until this season, Phil Foden was not a definite starter for Man City, as Pep Guardiola rotated him in and out of the side.
Was this the best thing for him?

I remember that season Pedri worked slave hours ๐๐ฎโ๐จ
Football twitter thinks they know better than one of the greatest managers of all time. SMH.
WE WANT MORE LONG VIDEOS๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ๐บ
Would love a full length video of JJ โthe Goatโ Bull breaking this down
Not wrong just had De Bruyne playing in Foden's best position. This season KDB has been out a lot so had to use Foden. Rooney as a reference is poor, Rooney smokes and drank from a young age. People give Pep too much credit.
Great vid but why does it end with the word โSoโ
This is something both Pep and Klopp do very well. Protecting young players and gradually bringing them in to a team to ensure they bed in correctly and donโt get burnt out. Itโs why he heavily rotates players like Harvey Elliot because he knows their career will run way past the years he manages them, and they need to be looked after and grow in to players.
just possible with that money. Barca had to play Pedri because they have no better players
Bayern did the same with Musiala and are doing it now with Tel. Unfortunately most Barca youngsters will have a fait like Fati if they dont limit their playing time.
Rooney's alcoholism probably also had a big role to play in his physical decline.
tbf Rooney looked 24 at the age of 16
Rodri is City's best player.
Beautifully handled by Pep.
Barca will end up ruining their youngsters
Ugh stop using Wayne Rooney as an example. The guy didn't take care of his body and was just naturally talented. Rooney has himself admitted it
I see people having this notion that younger players need to start week in week out to become better players and that's just plain wrong. They have to be "managed" properly because more importance and time have to be give for their mental and physical growth over the years to make them great players by the time they are 22 – 23 years old. And that's the truth.
I worry about Saka!
Pep is always right…
Utd fan here.
I don't want to spark the stupid debate, but it is a big difference between him& ska at arsenal, playing so much, dressing that team from the deaf back up. Look at sterling as well, he's not yet 30 & looks like he needs to go to the us or wherever to to retire. Whereas Phil has been bled in, Ben saying it for ages, its why we didn't know how good he was, but that time to develop vs the pressure can help most. Look, some deal well with pressure, others don't, everyone's different & develops at they or own pace
Not every football manager hav the luxury of not play Phil Foden. He is right, doesn't mean other football manager if in his shoe doesn't know how to do it
Sarri said the same thing about CHO when he was managing Chelsea but the fans thought they knew better.
Pep being right shocker ๐ฎ
I worry for Bukayo Saka basically every time he goes down these days because he's 22 and has played roughly 890,000 minutes for Arsenal (just a rough estimate)
Somewhat accurate
Love or hate Pep but I've begun to realize this too especially compared to clubs like Barca that flog tbeir youngsters as soon as they can
