“We would like to help him put Usyk right” | Anthony Joshua’s Trainer Ben Davison

Anthony Joshua’s trainer Ben Davison believes he and Lee Wylie can help AJ avenge his defeats to Oleksandr Usyk. While Eddie Hearn and many fans’ focus remains firmly on Anthony Joshua finally taking on Tyson Fury, Ben Davison highlighted his desire to “put Usyk right” for a resurgent AJ in our Full Circle.

Full Circle, hosted by Adam Catterall and powered by bet365, delves into the careers and lives of some of the most interesting characters in sport.

In this episode, the TalkSport presenter Adam Catterall sat down with Ben Davison to talk about his revived heavyweight charge, Anthony Joshua, in addition to the time he helped Tyson Fury return to the top of the heavyweight division.

Ben Davison has trained the likes of Leigh Wood, Billy Joe Saunders in addition to working with two-weight world champion Devin Haney. He is one of the brightest minds in world boxing and his profile continues to grow rapidly.

Anthony Joshua’s recent demolition job of Francis Ngannou underlined his recent resurgence in emphatic style. His career trajectory is trending steeply upward since his move to the Ben Davison Performance Centre and he is guaranteed to headline some blockbusters before the end of 2024.

  1. If Ben continues to train AJ, I think he not only heats Ngannou but also wins against Usyk. He has gpt AJ believing in himself again and letting his fists go. Ben hugely underestimated and deserves everything coming his wsy😊

  2. Ben has always figured high on my list of trainers. Way ahead of most of the so-called great trainers. I am pleased for him that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. To achieve so much at such a young age and with no real boxing experience is bordering on a genius level. So far only established boxers have called on his services, but I am 1000% sure he can and will take one from scratch to the world champion level.

  3. I bet you can…. Try enough times and the odds are you'll get a win

Usyk beat him twice… Why do we want to see a third just so Anthony can have another chance? He lost twice.

  4. Awesome interview………… Great final segment on the building the best fighter: Ring IQ, Power; Feet; Defence; Jab………….. but you missed Fastest Hands!! πŸ™‚

  5. Old head on young shoulders…he needs some proper custom mitts though training AJ… otherwise he's going to end up with serious hand problems… it's alright getting Joshua punching hard but he's the one that's got to take the punishment… he's got a career after Joshua to look forward to… can't do that if your hands are in bits

  6. I dont think there is a single person who wants to see Usyk vs AJ III. Two beatings was enough…AJ has had 4 easy fights and 4 wins in his last fights and clowns think he can box now.

  7. The biggest mistake Tyson Fury made was to partways with Ben Davison. He will be the Boxing COACH of the year –

For boxing I can bets any amount anyday, he 's the REAL DEAL in boxing.
