For some reason, there is this belief that every club can get anyone they want to fill all their needs in January. From a seller's perspective, the criteria are getting value for expiring contracts, gouging a desperate/rich club with a ridiculous fee, dumping players who aren't playing, dumping old men, and dumping unhappy players. Buyers are caught between a rock and a hard place with FFP, and supply+demand. So many variables during the January window play for and against each club. My club, Leeds, needed an RB &/or LB. Finding a decent LB is triple tough. Getting Connor Roberts to fill the RB depth need after the Djed Spence disaster (not our fault) was outstanding.
