Raya is so clear of Ramadan’s it’s stupid he suits Arteta’s system so much better. He’s the reason we can have such a high line because he can play sweeper keeper. More time when we were conceding last season was because strikers were getting in 1 on 1 as ramsdale is not alert enough.

These stats show Raya is definitely an upgrade. But the biggest upgrade he brings is his elite cross claiming and quick throws to start counter attacks, something that has improved us a lot.
Ramsdale will cost Arsenal vs Brentford like when he nearly costed Arsenal 3 points in the reverse fixture (bailed out by Rice goal line clearance)

It's a very marginal, compare last season to this season. Raya isn't that great but Arteta tweaked tactics using him, so that's the marginal gain that makes Arsenal better this season. Havertz is abominable but Mikel has made it work. All kudos to Arteta
