  1. Fox Sports pan over to watch Vela… while the team is actively playing the game… talking about him like 20-30% of the entire game. Then Vela comes on, and Sounders proceed a score again within a few minutes, and LAFC only proceeds to become worse and worse. What a disaster for those commentators who thought Vela would work miracles. I actually feel bad for Vela… I mean, I love that LAFC lost because it proves my point… but all that pressure on Vela to somehow coach a losing team to pass the ball to him to score goals? This sport doesn't work like that. You see… this is why I LOVE the Sounders. It's not a team built around one expensive player… Seattle has a deep winning culture within the team making it the most consistently successful team in the league for over a decade. And that's why Seattle doesn't get all the positive speculation by MLS… because America only pays attention to money, not coaching nor team-building. One day… MLS coaching will see what Brian Schmetzer has built and stop wasting millions on celebrities.

  2. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. LAFC had quite a bit of possession, and only a chance or 2, Sounders blocked or cut out everything. Make Rossi and Vela look like nothing players.

  3. After watching this, I flashed back to the iso sideline camera post-match between Schmetzer and Bradley last season after Sounders put LAFC out of the playoffs. Brian kinda hopped in Bradley's shit a tad

  4. The passing sequence on the second goal is just pure bliss ๐Ÿคค
Reminds me of the team goals weโ€™d see in the Martins/Dempsey/Pappa era.
Pass pass pass pass score. Just beautiful.

  5. Another year, another spiel on how "LAFC are the most title ready team in the league. Hands down favorites to win MLS cup…" and then incomes the rave green. Seattle is in the hunt every single year. Every year, other teams fear having to play in Seattle for a knockout game. So proud to call them my home team.

  6. as usual, shameful Hollywood acting from LAFC on several occasions. The first Sounders goal is another example of why I think zone marking on corner kicks is a bad strategy. There were 3 Sounders players open in the 6 yard box.
