  1. Spoke to a guy today about this signing, his viewpoint was.." Leeds got blinkers on, another American signing from the same cast ( slazburg) .. they needto look around more, could be better out there!" So goes to show, no matter how good Mckennie is, some will never be happy.

  2. This team is turning into something great. Big test is If we beat them lot at elland road, I can see as breaking into top 10. The teams around us don’t have a better attack or midfield tbh

  3. This would be a huge get for Leeds on many levels and I'm still a little shocked Wes would be ok with not playing in CL and that Allegri would let him leave. Ounahi would be a really fun option as well but Wes is the more proven, less risky, proposition. I don't really have any doubts about his ability to adapt to the premier league.

He's been integral at two large champions league clubs. Shalke is huge in Germany and Wes featured in their last CL campaign and even scored the winner versus Lokamotive as a 20 year old. At Shalke he had cameos everywhere on the pitch; midfield, right back, winger, centerback, and striker; the club was a mess at the time and he was glue trying to hold it all together.

The move to Juve pushed him to another level and also solidified his role as a box-to-box midfielder that joins in the attack. There was lots of skepticism from Juve fans when he made the move but a few years on now it's hard to say that he hasn't been anything but a success there considering most thought he would rarely make it off the bench. He has been a mainstay under both Pirlo and Allegri; with Allegri in particular seeming to favor him over lots of other options (such as Arthur, Rabiot, Kulusevski, Zakaria, etc.) whenever he is healthy. I suspect many English fans will also underestimate him if he does make the move.

In general he's been very durable as a player; racking up tons of mileage and minutes without too many issues. Last year was a bit of an anomaly as he fractured his second and third metatarsal on his left foot against Villareal, and then had a muscle injury right before the world cup. In both cases though he recovered quickly.
Shame we never got to see him partner Pogba and Locatelli in the midfield because of injuries (to Pogba mostly) but I think Allegri would have tried that setup if he had the option. As of the last couple games Allegri has been using him to fill in at more of a wing role which I think speaks more to Wes' growth as a technical dribbler/playmaker rather than being indicative of his best position.

Of course for the USMNT he is integral in that MMA midfield that is really the core of the current USA setup.

I'm not sure if moving to Leeds would be the best choice for him but he always plays with fire, heart, and that little bit of extra sauce. He's a blast to watch and if Leeds weren't already must watch tv for americans this would just completely push it over the line.

  4. Want Harrison sold just dont want james back cant we just sell him for 2pence cant wait for weston to arrive really want a LB this window would be fantastic great chat kagey always lovely to listen to you and your opinions how good would it be to get rid of the crap this winter MOT win for leeds

  5. Kagey, first let me say how much I enjoy and appreciate your level headed discussion of our situation. It’s a refreshing take with so much negativity flying around.
I never thought the McKennie thing was real. I’m glad to be wrong as that’s shaping up to be an impressive midfield. Next, bring Dan James home and convert him into a LWB.
Keep up the good work, from the Pacific Northwest of the States, Seattle, Washington. MOT!

  6. Should be a nice 3-0 at least. Would be nice to see Jesse try a 4-2-2-2 if that’s his plan moving forward with Bammy & Rutter up top!

Can’t believe this West McKennie transfer could be pulled off! Another saucy baller, amazing window if this or Ounahi is done!

  7. Regarding the stadium expansion. Only the South stand is an issue regarding road access to the rear. Could they block that off by the row of shops and from the police headquarters run the road between the ice hockey stadium and west stand, round the back of the Don Revie Cop stand then track it away from the east stand towards the m621 and beyond. Then with all of this they would have room to build a new South stand back and maybe around that blocked off area a bit of a fan zone too 🤔

  8. He s a good player passes well n strong I’m still shocked we have not brought a left back in it’s essential. Don’t the club like left backs ? We’ve needed a decent one for 2/3 years. Can’t see why they don’t bring Charlie back. I’m sure he d walk here he still lives in Harrogate whatever we do need a quality left back. I just hope once the 49 s get in this flogging the best players stops. It has to if they want to win things

  9. Dan James played his best football through the middle at Swansea in mid/ attacking role. He s played wing and striker at Leeds not really attacking mid. But not sure what’s gonna happen with him

  10. There bringing the big shots in now we def still need that left back why the delay ? With gnoto Summerville mckennie Rutter Wober we’re gonna have a good team BAR the left back I do think Harrison will be sold along with James and I hope firpo

  11. I think Harrison has to go. One good game in 10 just ain’t good enough. He really isn’t 99% of the times he crosses he can’t get the ball over the first man !! His passing is bad I think start of next summer two defenders with PACE have to come in

  12. I’m in was Washington dc for a week and my Leeds shirts have been recognised so many times! Been told that adidas sold shirts all over America and they sold well! Surely we have to do a pre season tour state side

  13. Well said again Kagey. Love your insight. Look forward to Weston, but it's a bit pricey imo. $25mm including add-on should suffice given his injury history. BTW, love to see players getting minutes @ cup match/s; I am concerned on they may get injured by opponents. We've several tough League games upcoming!

  14. Drameh heading to Luton, shame its not Ayling heading there obliviously behind the scenes stuff we don't hear about I know its a loan but still ..Spence from Spurs perhaps ?not liking the thought of getting Dan returned be just our luck hope Mckennie gets over the line and signs. cup 0-3 Leeds unless Lucky Luke helps out Accrington with a couple of assists no agenda btw against Ayling he was awesome back in championship days but its time to move on IMO…keep em coming Kagey awesome channel😀

  15. Good to see the happiness and hope shining through kagey , this would be a great addition I feel . Very optimistic at the moment despite our league position.

  16. I was hoping we’d sign a striker this window and would have taken Che Adams 😮 but to come out with Rutter, Max and maybe Weston McKennie would fantastic. Zero is excuses now for Jesse, he needs to pick up wins and fast or leave amd let a more competent coach mould our this playing squad

  17. We’ll definitely win the cup game. However, under Marsch I have started to almost dread our games, we have a good squad and his system is not maximising it. The FA cup doesn’t matter, Premier Lge survival is key. I don’t want Marsch clinging to his job due to a few cup wins against lower level teams.
