Morris' skillset will work well when the Sounders are winning, and the opposition is throwing more numbers into the attack to get back in the game (i.e. counterattack forward). Ruidiaz is better suited to when the game is tied, or the Sounders are down a goal, and the opposition is sitting deeper (i.e. fox in the box forward). Using their skillsets as a guide, the optimal choice is to start Ruidiaz and only replace him with Morris in the second half if the Sounders are ahead.
