  1. Tom not knowing who Pearl Jam are: "Tell me you are under the age of 30 without telling me you are under the age of 30".
actually probably more like "under the age of 40" is more accurate but you don't look that old Tom.

  2. Based on how Sambi is getting on at Luton. I wouldn't be quick to sell this summer, depending on his contract, I think I'd be more willing to loan him again. His shown there is a player there, if Luton manages to stay up (Everton, Forest point deduction could help that) leave him there again maybe. I don't see his at a level yet to get in our team but 1 more season who knows.

  3. Honestly, as a consumer, I believe there are very few situations where there would be NO (or nominal) complaints around ticket price increases. I think the breakdown here is sound. The only misstep here is probably the senior (season?) ticket pricing being removed.

It would be interesting, though, to see what merchandise and match day concessions prices are going to be. What staff wages might be. And, if community work / spend takes a dip.

  4. Harsh truth – attending sports events is a form of entertainment, not a right. It’s not an expense like food, shelter, or a gov’t provided utility. Supporting a club is ultimately a discretionary expense, meaning no one can force you to spend money on it. If it becomes too expensive we have to reexamine what we can afford, and usually discretionary expenses are the first to get trimmed from personal budgets. Btw, wonder how much club has lost from exponentially inflated tickets sold outside the exchanges, especially in last 18 months… and where did all those tickets come from initially – ticket holders

  5. When will players have a care about the rising ticket prices? Will they lessen their wage demands to help their teams fans? I doubt it. On top of that man city isn’t going to stop paying over the odds for big name players.

  6. In the U.S., in 1960, a McDonald’s Hamburger cost about 15 cents, while today, that same burger would cost you about $2.49.
You can count on paying more for everything in the future Tom.
You can count on death, taxes, and increasing costs for every bloody thing, including ticket prices!!!
