Martinez injury could be a season changer
It IS a disaster for us. He completely changed the dynamic of our play. With like Shaw back and next to him we are a completely different side. Absolutely gutted, for him AND the team
Martinez has a career threatening injury. Even after his recovery that knee is no position to handle the grinds of PL. I don't think he ever will have a fitness that will allow him to play a season or even half. π’
No way Martinez is out again! Im done.
I really like your weather report β€
He didn't look in agony so hopefully not a CL injury
Does anyone else not think, or see, that the west ham player purposely rolled onto his knee long after the tackle was over, that's the way I seen it at the time, and after watching it again I'm sure he did.
Hit 'Like' if you think Lisandro Martinez is United's most important player β€
Think it's gone under the radar a bit but having Shaw back has also improved us massively and helped Marcus find a bit of form again
So tired of utd being the stoke city of the 2020s with the counter attack as plan a+b. no team in the top half plays this way ,it's underdog football with a ceiling at midtable
Funny how many people didn't remember kudus did the celebration earlier in the season… some people thinking garnacho was copying ronaldo.
Time to get 2 top CBs in now, I think ACL or not he's becoming injury prone and that's what we don't need. Maguire and Lindelof not good enough, Varane also won tbe around for too long, get Braithwaite and Todibo in
Didnβt realise how injury prone he was
You could see by how his team mates reacted when he was down, how vital he is to his team mates… hopefully he has a speedy recovery and he's back fighting fit again! πͺ β€ π΄βͺοΈβ«οΈ
I π― % agree that licha is our most important player. I'm absolutely gutted that he's just back and was a power house for those couple of games. I hope it isn't serious! UP THE MANCS and UP THE PADDOCK!β€οΈπ€π€.
We looked steady and in control for the most part, professional and sat in 3rd gear. But to be objective, west ham didn't look like they got out of 1st gear.
Hojlunds goal was tasty, Garnacho played more maturely and showed class, as did Mainoo.
Fingers crossed martinez substitution was precautionary and was just impact pain.
The fact we only have one ball playing centre back is the problem. Of the 4-5 CBs youβd have in a United squad, 2-3 should be able to play out. Get rid of Maguire and Varane or Lindelof, get a couple of ballers init.
Selling Bruno would be one of the best ways to get cash to rebuild the team and he hasn't shown improving form this season so I could accept selling him despite him being a legend of course
Our physio department is shite imo, I hope that INEOS get that off the things to do first board

Main headline is how majestic that Parka is looking!
It looked more like an LCL (lateral collateral ligament) or Lateral Meniscus injury. I got wiped out by a keeper in training a few years back and had that problem. My leg felt limp/weak and I was out for about a month I think. I would guess Martinez will be back playing again mid March.
Doesn't look like acl . Looks like tendon over the top of the knee . I sprained mine last year and was rested for month or so. Fingers x'd for him.
Looks like the curse is still hanging on, just when it looked like things were picking up.
So, to sum up this video…"We don't know!"
