Liverpool learned of a new rival in their quest for Konrad Laimer next summer, while Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito has put a colossal £105m price tag on the Reds’ target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Meanwhile, the club is looking to the future, watching Anderlecht’s teen sensation Zeno Debast!

What did Roberto Firmino say to Darwin Nunez about Mohamed Salah during Rangers and Liverpool?
Roberto Firmino was convinced that Mohamed Salah was substituted in the Champions League match at Rangers!

Roberto Firmino stated that he knew Mohamed Salah would score his first Champions League hat-trick for Liverpool after the Egyptian scored his first goal against Rangers.

Salah came off the bench to score the fastest treble in the competition’s history by taking just six minutes and 12 seconds to achieve the feat in the Reds’ 7-1 record at Ibrox on Wednesday.

Firmino, who scored two goals early in the game and added Liverpool’s third for Darwin Nunez, had been substituted moments before the Egyptian began his surprising hat-trick. And he wasn’t surprised by Salah’s latest scoring exploits.

I could feel it from the bank. That’s exactly what he did and I’m so happy for him.”

Firmino now has eight goals and four assists in 12 games this season, with only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane having scored more goals for a Premier League club!

Speaking to UEFA.com, the 31-year-old added: “I’m very happy. I always do my best to score goals and help the team win. Good things will come, 100% I believe in that!
