I like the player. He is a beast and very athletic. However, what kind of football are we trying to play?
If we are trying to play intricate pass and move football, which we were last season, then why sign him?
Rice runs around a lot, covers ground and does the basics but lacks genuine quality on the ball. Every team needs a water carrier but you start putting Onana next to him and it starts making pass and move in tight spaces a myth imo.
If we are buying him to deputize for Rice, cool but for me, he's not really a defensive midfielder.
I won't complain about him, he's good but what are we actually trying to do here? I honestly don't know.
Whoever we sign, just make sure they are quality players that make us better.
Haven't seen enough of Spinnazola to judge. Plays most of the time on the left and imo we need competition on the right. We have Trossard and Martinelli for the left.
I only want players that are gonna make us better. Maybe he will, idk.
