  1. As a West Ham fan, I don't think Rice ever disrespected West Ham, He's done so much for us while he's been with us, and I wish him all the best if he does leave to join another club and hope he can win everything, especially the world cup, COYI, 3🦁

  2. Don't mind Rice's ambition or confidence, Rashford has been talking big too, just hope they can walk the walk too, there's still no reason for the likes of Brazil France Argentina etc to be "fear" us…in order to do that (and win the WC) I think both of them must raise their levels rmid-tournament and become something they've never been in their careers, genuinely world class, Rashford by consistency and decision making and Rice by adding chance creation and G/A to his game… starting with Sunday against Senegal, time to up your levels now England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

  3. Here we go . Another standard England game . Imagine the poor Commentator ! Pickford , stones , walker, stones , McGuire , Pickford ,stones , rice , stones , McGuire . Yawn yawn yawn . It’s enough to put the actual world viewers to sleep .

  4. I hope England don’t play too defensively. That backward passing like against the USA was so boring. We have talent in abundance going forward.

  5. England will never underestimate a African team…i still remember the English media saying Cameroon was a bye in 1990… after the game terry butcher said…"some fuckin bye that was!"

  6. To be fair, the US and Senegal are probably on a par with one another. Maybe even with Senegal being edged out by the US. The only real walkover was Wales who were terrible. Whereas I felt England made Iran just look bad on the day.

  7. Let's be honest Senegal are garbage and especially without Mane.
If Senegal it will be the biggest upset of the world cup so far, but it won't happen. Comfortable win for England

  8. Kouyate injured and Idrissa suspended for Senegal, that's their first choice midfield basically gone and no Mane… Senegal could hardly be in worse nick.

But still you don't want to underestimate them because their players all have real pedigree, loads of former France and Germany youth internationals who've been around at big clubs and all massively important players for the sides they play for now. They are used to pressure and responsibility, and they are a proper tournament side with a great spirit who are used to finding a way to win.

This will most likely be a painful attritional game, like the matches against Denmark or Croatia at the Euros. I hope England are ready for that. My heart says they should be, that they have the humility and seriousness needed to bury their egos and fight for 90 minutes — not worrying about how they look, or what the socials will say about them in the morning, just about the result. That's what you need, that mentality.

But my head is saying they are talking way too much about going all the way. Too much smoke is being blown up their asses about being top players, with a weak coach holding them back. Their self-belief increasingly has that old, pre-Southgate deluded feel to it.

Like, here we have the West Ham captain who has never won a thing in his senior career, or even been through the stress and challenge of joining a new club, or playing in a new country, talking about winning the World Cup as though it was just something that might happen. And that a few days before facing a team of hardened, seasoned, proven winners in a knockout match.

Declan can't even reliably find space in the build up as a No. 6 in international football, he can't find a way out of the pressing of a very average USA side, but he's ready to say he can go all the way at the World Cup? Something teams with Modric and Rakitic, Messi and Aguero, Seneijder and Van Persie, couldn't do?

No matter the sense the coach is trying to drum into them too many of the players are thinking they are going to go out and smash, that they've got a ticket to the final. I've a bad feeling about this one. This lot have lost their heads a little bit I think. But then again… Senegal are seriously depleted… so maybe… is 5-0 to England too much to ask?

  9. He's right though, everyone talks down about England constantly. We could be against Qatar and people would say " arrogant England, assuming they should beat qatar" but anyone else and its different. Netherlands beat America and there's espn videos about them being favourites to win WC and a whole segment on them winning lmao.
