Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been ruled out for “a few weeks” with a minor knee ligament tear.
Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders confirmed the news ahead of the club’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Fulham on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports.

HUGE miss for us given that Trent spreads the ball so well and finds gaps in the play for our forwards to run into when on the counter attack which changes the tempo of the game and our chances on goal. We’re a bit screwed here can’t lie. But I have faith non the less.

Klopp will have to switch to a 3-4-3 formation hopefully which I wanted to see for this calendar month, back line of van dijk Konate and Gomez should be a solid unit, deploy Mac, jones, gravenberch and Elliot in middle with Nunez on right Diaz on left and jota through middle, plenty of creativity and defensive stability there till salah and endo return and robbo is fully fit again!!!
